 Stayed for a long weekend on a perfect site. Loads of room, immaculate facilities. Wonderful Hosts plus Kiwi the Dog. Plenty of buterflies along the hedgerows and great views all around. Brilliant views and a lovely little village. Only a couple of miles to Kingsbridge with a lot of shops including Tescos and Morrisons. So much room on the pitches a little sloped in some areas. Can't wait to return. Do try it out for yourselves you won't be disappointed!

A very, very friendly welcome from the owners and kiwi the dog
The toilet and shower are wonderful and clean, showers 20p for 3mins, water hot, adjustable shower head height, which is a big plus when showering kids, a washing up area has now been added and has recycle bins
A flat, well maintained field, there is a small kiddies climbing frame and swing. A little noise from the road, but not to bad, especially when taking into account you do not have to drive down single track, steep, windey roads to get here.
Would definitely go back

We booked a Log Pod for our family break this year taking with us daughter aged 5 and son aged 12, it was a last minute booking and we are so glad we found Silver Gates.
Owners Nene and Paul were really exceptional! and we must not forget Kiwi the dog who my daughter found a friend in.
Having never stayed in a log pod before we were really pleased and would highly recommend it as an adventure for any short break or family holiday, even a romantic get away.
The location is fantastic and we will be going back soon! Beaches are just a short drive as are loads of other attractions. The facilities were really good, this is as they say a family run campsite in the early stages of opening but I have no doubt this campsite will continuously improve.
If I had to be critical which I am reluctant to be a clothes airer (for our beach towels) and dustpan and brush for the Log Pods would be good but then again it is still a version of camping.

What a splendid undiscovered Gem of a site. Lovely lovely owners, beautifully lavatories. My son commented that the shower room was like being at home.
Nene ( the owner) and her dog (Kiwi) were wonderfully welcoming and sociable. Nene even provided my son with some paper for him to draw on.
Field - level and flat, plenty of electric hookups.
Washrooms - two beautiful.
Washing up - none - need to decant from wash room sink.
Kids play area.
Secure
Wonderful
Some road noise - but nothing terrible
