Our second stay at Lythe, small site in beautiful location with a view to the sea.
Lovely grass pitch near the amenities block.
Campsite full during the week in term time but never felt crowded. Micky welcoming & helpful as always.
Had two excellent meals at The Stiddy. Caught the bus into Whitby, very convenient.
A pity the Lickerish Tooth Gin Distillery (right by campsite) was closed by the time we got back!

Our second time on this site. The hard standing spaces are well separated, the shower/toilet block is clean and tidy.
The Stiddy is a great little pub, the community shop is well stocked and has a part-time post office.
Best of all for a retired couple the bus stops almost exactly at the entrance to the park Every half hour to Sandsend beach and Whitby and the other way along the coast to Middlesborough.

Perfect location with central facilities. Easy to reach wherever you are pitched. Owner friendly and very good value for money.
We had a pitch without electricity that was £15 a night. No extras for the dog etc.
Perfect view on grass overlooking the sea. We stayed on two sites and both were large and well tended.
Easy to walk down to the beach at Sandsend. Bit more of a slog on the way back because it was steep but nothing too strenuous.
The hot water tap in the wash up area taps and toilet basins was piping hot. There were an adequate number of toilets and showers so I never had to wait for facilities.
The showers had one temperature setting only and were only just warm enough - I guess to keep things simple and safe for all users. I do prefer a piping hot shower so this was the only downside for me. No extra cost for showers or the hairdryer.
Facilities very clean other than a group of 'dirty campers' who left debris in the washing up sink just before I went in! But I find this at every campsite and can't fault the owner who does keep it very clean. Impossible to immediately clean after every dirty person! Hopefully the majority of campers have a bit more respect for others and those that don't - I mention this for you -check the sink after you empty the water out!

This is a very nice site with lovely sea views.
The campsite has recently gone through a lot of changes with plenty of hard standing with electric points and easy access to waterpoints.
The toilet block is very clean and warm with nice showers.
There is a bus from the stop outside which goes down to Whitby or up to Middlesborough and stops at all the places of interest on the way, it is every half hour through the day.
A community shop is directly over the road and is very well stocked with local produce.
The Stiddy is the Pub near the entrance to the site and is a very nice country pub with very friendly staff and according to previous reviews serves good food.
This however brings me to the only down side to our stay. We intended eating in the Stiddy at least one night of our stay but when we went in for a drink in the afternoon there were a few people in with dogs which is not a problem for us but most of them were up on the seating all around the room. One couple sat next to us had three dogs all sat on the seats. Whist we both love dogs they should be on the floor especially in an environment that serves food so we did not eat in the pub.

Site easy to access, Field grass rather than 'lawn' grass, Roads & Hardstandings need re-laying, Elson disposal stank.
Toilets lovely and warm, Kept very Clean
Owner only been there since January 2021 and will need time to do the things that need doing.
Still a decent site to stay on, handy for buses to Whitby /Middlesborough & places in between.

Arrived a bit late, met at the gate by Mike, Mike was extremely helpful and sited us up in a great spot with a view of the sea.
The site is clean, tidy and well looked after, and the toilet/showers are to die for with their underfloor heating.
We had a storm on the Tuesday night, and Mike was seen helping a camper with his awning in the middle of the night, and still up running the camp early in the morning, definitely a man who loves his work.
The camp site is definitely worth a visit, lovely quiet village with a couple of quirky shops including a Gin still, a piano workshop, and a lovely shop that sells all kinds of homemade pies, jams, etc.
The main feature in the village is’ The Stiddy’, a beautiful pub situated just at the side of the camp site, serving great food at lunch time, and evenings, Live music on the Friday night, with some of the bar staff joining in adding a great atmosphere to the evening.
Overall, we consider the holiday as a great success. Top marks to Mike, and the staff at the pub.

Very well kept and tidy site. Nicely spaced standings.
Toilets and showers exceptionally clean and remained so throughout the day.
The Stiddy pub staff very friendly and welcoming. We ate there for 3 consecutive nights. Food tasty and not expensive.

Fantastic, quiet, friendly site.
First time campers and thought facilities were perfect & spotlessly clean.
Bonus having a pub at end of site that does good food & drink.
Owners & staff were lovely.
Well placed for Whitby, bus stop at end of site with a bus every 30mins and it’s only 13mins away.
