Great dog friendly camp site with stunning views, all of the pitches have electric water and waste points

The shower block is clean and well equipped with two wet rooms which are deceptively large so anyone with small children it makes showering easy

Its a great site for family's and couples who want a quiet uninterrupted stay as the children can run free safely and have plenty of room for all camping games

The pot washing station with two sinks and hot water makes cleaning up easy

Also easy access to the high Peak trail, Carsington water and many other rural places to walk
via mobile

Decided a little late to go away for bank holiday weekend so after trying numerous places finally got a pitch at new harboro farm. Must confess was a bit concerned as could not find any reviews but decided to go for it.

Getting there:

The sat nav could not pin point this site as you have to go through an industrial estate so recommend using instructions from CCC site. The signage to the site is poor but just look out for Viaton Sign. The road to the site is a small farm track to the right of the industrial units but again the sign is hidden.

Pitches

We were met by the owner who is also a caravanner and very friendly he told us were the electric points were and said we could pitch were we wanted. Unfortunately the remaining electric point was on a very sloping pitch so lots of manoeuvring and blocks required.

Location

The views from the site are lovely and it is very quite due to the remote location. However it is only a short drive away to the high peaks trail, tissington trail and carsington water.

Facilities

The facilities are very basic with one washroom which consists of a toilet, shower and sink. Needed to take your own loo roll but cant comment on shower as used our own.

Summary

The site is very handy for local attractions and the owners are very friendly and helpful. At £10 (2 adults and electric) a night it is excellent value for money.

Only downsides are:

- that the electric points are not located along the flatter side of the field

- that all the facilities are in one room so toilet is out of use whilst people are showering

- poor signage

All in all a very relaxed and enjoyable stay
