Stayed here for 5 nights April 2014. Facilities are fine for a site of this type, clean and well kept. Plenty of hot water as well.
Some pitches have a very slight slope and it might be an idea for there to be some planks to help level caravans and motorhomes but no big deal.
Owners are vey helpful and make every effort to ensure your stay goes well. Entrance to the site is clear and easy.
The shop is well stocked and very handy.
Lots of easily accessible places such as Appledore, Westward Ho!, Tarka Trail.
In all we would recommend the site wholeheartedly.

We visited with four friends. In other vans. The Owners could not have been more helpful. From late arrivals to any daily questions. The clean smart toilets and shower room were great and lashings of non stop hot water. Also in the washing up room. We had worried about the road. Should not have ! hardly noticed it. On site shop is superb Organic food etc. Have re booked already and can't wait. Great position for bike rides. Canoes launched just 5 mins away. Perfect and great value ! well done Marshford. And Thanks

We totally agree with Gandry's comments.
The site is well situated for exploring North Devon. The clean facilities are adequate. The Burrows is lovely for dog walking and the beach is spectacular. There is an excellent bus service.
We do not know the percentage of campers using the site but in view of our unpredictable weather, an indoor drying area would be useful for them.
We hope to return before the end of the season.

A sheltered spacious site with hook ups has friendly owners, although a road runs alongside it is shielded with a bank of mature trees and bushes, there is a well supplied farm shop on site. The clean toilet block is unisex and has 2 toilets, wash basin cubicle and a wet room.
Free wifi is available.
It is in a lovely location, the beach at Westward Ho! is about 2 miles away. The Tarka trail is nearby and is ideal for walking or cycling, also the coastal path is within easy reach. Close by the fishing port of Appledore has places to eat, and Hocking’s ice creams are not to be missed! Further afield along the A39 is Clovelly, Hartland Point and Bude.
The 'Big Sheep' near Abbotsham is an ideal day out for the family.
Atlantic Village shopping outlet has bargains from well known retailers and is worth a visit.

Very similar experience to the previous reviewer.
Close to Appledore and the Tarka Trail. Good range of pubs in Appledore and good transport links. Lovely coastal walks. The owners were friendly.
The site itself - just think basic! The toilet block facilities are plain and simple. I'm sure some cleaning took place, but if you like your facilities to be warm, pretty and scrupulously clean then you best give this a miss, particularly if flies and spiders are not your thing! Luckily the site was fairly empty; I would not want to be there when full.
The biggest issue for us was the proximity to the road - quite noisy from 7. 00 am onwards even in our caravan.

The site is in a good location close to Appledore and Bideford with locate shops nearby and a supermarket 5 mins by car.
Nice pubs in Appledore and good transport links.
The camping area is fine, however the site is let down by the the toilet block and its upkeep.
There are only two unisex toilets and one shower ( which was also use by some to wash dogs down) and one wash basin cubicle, all contained within one small block, there is no mirror, no electric shaver point and no toilet paper was provided, there was no place to wash dishes.
While I was there very little cleaning if any took place within the combined unisex shower and toilet block.
I also had concerns on health with the one low level outside drinking tap being within nose reach of dogs
If you are in a campervan and have your own facilities then the site is fine, however I would not like to be on this site in a tent when all pitches are taken.
The owners were friendly and I would return but only if the facilities were improved.
