We stayed here during the French holiday peak so it was pretty much full - and nearly all French, which we hadn't appreciated beforehand, so we didn't really interact with anyone other than the camp staff who were friendly and helpful.
It's a more compact site than we expected -that was fine except the pitches are really too small for a caravan, awning and car to leave any sitting out space - and I think we'd have really struggled to pitch up without the power mover. Fortunately we had 2 pitches (our son/girlfriend were in a tent) and we parked the car on their pitch. The bar/restaurant area is great with both indoor and outdoor tables, and comes alive at night with some sort of entertainment or food speciality most every evening - and the French really participate and socialise which was great to see. The outside terrace is adjacent to the pool/jacuzzi with a lovely seaview and inside there's a cozy corner with books and games. The wi-fi signal is pretty good covering all but the extremities of the site.
The toilet blocks were clean and the showers excellent - be aware that they're unisex but that's not uncommon and not really a problem.
It's a very pleasant 20 min walk to the old town via a tree-covered trail, which we also used in the mornings for a run (and back along the seafront). The market was great, as is the old part of town of course - but even the newer parts are very smart. All in all it was a lovely week and we'd definitely go back there.

With this being our 3rd year visiting this site, this is only an update to my last review. We stayed the full 2 weeks of our holiday in early June and even chose the same pitch as last year!
Pleased to note the improvements and extension to the bar / restaurant area which is now a very nice area to spend time in the sun. There are many opening doors to enable an airy feel to the restaurant when the weather is good and the view from within and on the terrace is fabulous. Spent many afternoons with a beer or 2 but did not eat there although the takeaway pizzas are wonderful!
Sanitary block was clean and pleasant throughout our stay and the laundry room performed the required function (still amazed the washing machines dispense detergent automatically!).
The site was busy during our stay with a good mix of nationalities, mainly in caravans or motorhomes but this is not a problem. Despite its popularity, we were really struck with the peaceful nature. In fact, after 7ish the only sound was usually the birds.
Owner is enthusiastic and friendly, staff are great and will speak English if you need them to.

This is the third time in succession that we have stayed on this site. The reception area and restaurant have been upgraded and are impressive. The shop, which was modest before, has been enlarged and covers all the basics and more. The restaurant is very good. It is a lovely spot with sea views. Clearly it is popular as it has developed more pitches. We travelled up the Atlantic coast and stayed at quite a few sites and this was the only one full. Luckily I had booked in advance and I would recommend this. As before the toilet block was very good and always immaculate as was the pool. Really a delight! Interestingly it was the cheapest site costing 15. 20 Euros per day, quite a contrast to UK and other French sites (which tend to be cheaper than UK).

What a find! On a hill overlooking the bay with terraced pitches with choices of shade and sun. The reception was welcoming and helpful, you choose the pitch, ours was part shade. It did have deep tractor ruts tho, but solved this with the cushioned flooring from Aldi. The toilet block was very clean and provided loo paper, no closing for cleaning that I noticed.
Quality bar and restaurant with terrace overlooking the bay and swimming pool and jaccuzi, the local beer is good. We didn't have a meal there but did order roast chicken for Sunday lunch to take away. Lovely way to end the day sitting with a beer on the terrace with the dogs, watching the yachts.
There is a small play area for children by the site exit.
There is a padlocked gate to a walk that can take you to the town or the plage. I found the walk to town further than anticipated. There is plenty of parking on the quay where a market can be found twice a week.

In pouring rain we arrived at this site.
The receptionist told us a field, where we could choose a pitch of our liking. This field was very uneven, with absolutely no sea view and no seperation of the pitches. More like a grassy uneven car park.
This was very disappointing, because the pics here and on their website assume a far better picture of the site.
So we left out the check in and moved quickly to another, far better Campsite.

We had visited this site in May last year, but only for a couple of nights. We were impressed and felt we wanted to return.
Access to the site was not a problem and on arrival we were invited to look around and select a pitch. We were immediately impressed by the quiet nature of the site. The site is on the side of a hill overlooking the sea and the main camping field is terraced with most pitches being pretty level and nicely hedged. Water and electricity (10amps) were very close to most pitches. A few of the pitches close to the pool had a sea view and these appeared to be quite popular. There was a nice mix of campervans, caravans and tents and several nationalities during our 2 weeks stay.
The sanitation block is heated and was spotless during our stay. Toilet paper supplied! Hot water was available throughout the day in showers and for washing up and laundry. Washing and drying machines are also available with no need to supply your own washing powder.
Reception staff were friendly and will speak English, if required. Bread and pastries can be ordered and there is also a small bar and a restaurant which is quite popular with locals. Takeaway pizzas and frites were much appreciated.
Free WiFi is available in the bar/restaurant/pool area and would tantalisingly work occasionally on our pitch (almost the furthest pitch from the bar).
The swimming pool is just outside the bar and overlooks the bay. There is a hot tub next to the pool from which the views are fabulous.
A walk to the centre of Concarneau with its lovely walled town takes approx. 15 minutes via an attractive walkway. The flat, sandy beach is about a 5 minute walk and there are some lovely coastal walks to smaller beaches.
Our stay was helped by glorious weather, but we would not hesitate to return to this site.

We stayed last year and as it was so good returned this year. It is well situated overlooking Concarneau bay and about 400 meters from an excellent beach, the Sable Blancs. Great swimming pool, restaurant and toilet block (always immaculate). Each pitch marked by hedges with electricity and water. English spoken at helpful reception.

We liked this site a lot and ended up returning during the same week.
A lovely location, great pool, good pitches and very clean, well equipped facilities plus friendly staff and an excellent restaurant/bar.
A site can be judged by the clientèle; this has a nice mix of big motorhomes, 'normal' camper vans and a few tents - just how we like it. We have a VW California camper and it 'fits in' just fine (we saw two others on site!).
The beach nearby is lovely and great for swimming. For active types like us, there is a stunning coast path for running too (head away from town) and the town itself is lovely.
The pool is very nice with very little chlorine and there's a jacuzzi with possibly the best views around.
We will definitely return soon and our kids, aged 3 and 5 loved it too.

This site sits on the side of a hill about 400 metres from the sea. It has a magnificent views over the bay. The reception was very friendly with English spoken. The pitches are all hedged and with many mature trees. There is a slope but despite the position on the hill it is modest and with normal blocks we were absolutely level. There is water and electricity on each pitch. There was a choice of 2 electric points. However the one with the UK hook-up gave reversed polarity but the other continental 2 pin with the converter was OK. The reception sold bread and some supplies. The restaurant was excellent and modestly priced. The pool looked great (no swimming for us in May! ) with sun loungers on the terrace. I found no trouble in locating the site but have up-dated satnav. Great site if you have a dog as plenty of walks and one direct from the site to the centre of Concarneau. The toilet block was good and my only criticism is that there were no plugs in the sinks otherwise good with plenty of hot water and very clean. Would certainly return.

A terrible site to find! The directions on sat nav take you through the housing estates, along narrow roads. There should be a far better way through but the only clear way appears to be from the Fouesnant direction along the coast. Unfortunately even this way was blocked by a diversion when we were there.
Once you find the site (which is hidden away in the corner between Rue des Fleurs and Dorlett), there is a steep up and down and a narrow bit to negotiate. The site itself is fine, terraced, a nice bar etc, bread ordering, not over priced, open swimmimg pool in front. The old city is lovely, a 20 minute walk from the site.
They can't help the weather, which was mostly terrible, and it's a good base for Beg Meil and further down the coast to the south as well. We would go to Beg Meil/Benodet in future though.
