Lovely Bank Holiday weekend spent at Dot's Camping.
The toilets are only portaloos which we were a bit apprehensive about but they were fine always clean, we also had concerns about the showers being warm and powerful enough but they were fine too. Good area for washing up, with washing up liquid and brushes provided. Sink with mirror as well for face washing and teeth cleaning.
The site itself is basic but perfect for us and our 6 year old son. Lots of space for him to cycle round and good space in the middle of the field for ball games. Another plus point for our son were the free ice pops that Dot kept well stocked in the freezer!
Also around teatime the owner fed the pigs and goats which the children were able to go in their fenced off area with her.
Nice and close to the New Forest and walking distance to a couple of pubs. Would highly recommend this site, the owner is a lovely lady and made us feel very welcome. Will definitely be going back.

Lovely bank holiday weekend spent at Dots Camping.
Great site, simple but everything our family needed. (Clean toilets, showers and basins, freezer for ice packs, generous pitch size and a good sized grassy area for ball games etc. ).
Super location. New forest very near, nice walks straight from campsite e. G. To good local pubs. Also lovely bike rides nearby.
Lovely welcome from Dot, would definitely return.

We stayed at Dot's over the May Bank Holiday wekend and had a lovely relaxing time.
Dot's campsite was ideal for us; it was close to two pubs and we ate at the Horse & Groom in Woodgreen which was good food reasonably priced and within walking distance.
The site is small but there is plenty of space and you're not confined to a pitch, which was great.
The showers were outside but were clean with hot running water. The toilets are portaloos but again, these were regularly cleaned - no complaints with the facilities at all.
The campsite is perfectly situated for watching the sun set, which we did for two nights.
The only downside to this site is the road noise from the A338 which you can hear so I was glad we were in a camper van, otherwise I would have found the noise a nuisance.
The site is close to Fordingbridge and Ringwood but I wouldn't say you were in walking distance of the New Forest.
All in all, a lovely quiet, clean, family site that we would visit again.

We used dots camping this year to have a family gathering for 8 family members. From my first call to Dot through to the booking, she made the whole process so very easy. When we arrived she had given us so much space so that although we were all camping together we were not onto of each other. The weather was not kind to us but this certainly did not dampen anyone spirits. The field was never boggy and made it very easy to get to the facilities, which were kept so clean. Our weekend was one we will never forget and we are now going to be making an annual event of this! Thank you so very much look forward to next year. X x

I have just spent a long weekend at Dots Camping with my family, which included my 3 yr old (rising 4yrs) grandaughter along with my daughter who have been visiting us from Australia. My son also pitched up on the second day with his hiking tent and good fun was had by all.
Dot is a very friendly and efficient person and is doing a great job in running this delightful small and personable camp site.
It really is a back to nature site where it is up to the campers to make their own entertainment, with the exception of pig and goat feeding times where little children are encouraged to help out.
The camp site is very safe for young children to play with minimum supervision.
On-site facilities are portable but kept immaculately clean, better than many purpose built washroom blocks I have experienced. There is also a delightful canopied area with a deck laid floor with wash sink and double hand basin facilities, freezer (with 'free ice lollies')etc, all very hygienic but without losing the simplicity this site offers.
Off site facilities in Breamore village are excellent, with the fabulous River Avon running close by and the heart of the New Forest just a 10 to 15 minute drive away.
We would like to return to this site again.

It was our first time in a motorhome and we had a ball!
Dot and her family are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble,
We had bbqs and played games, it was so nice we had an extra weekend to finish our hols here, can't beat it and we will be going back!
Nice pub within walking distance and shop and several pubs in short car journey,
Clean sinks, toilets and showers and Dot took the children to feed the animals!

We really enjoyed our visit to Dots Camping in the New Forest, and will return!
It was our first camping trip since our daughter (nearly 2) was born, and the site was perfect for her. There are chickens, goats and pigs to see and lots of space to run around.
We found the site easily, and the pitches were generous and well spaced, although slightly rough.
There are only 2 portable loos and 2 portable showers, but as it is a small site there was very little (if any) queuing for them.
The kitchen / washing area is lovely. 2 sinks and a mirror for washing and a sink and draining board with washing up bowl, liquid, brushes etc. All under a roof with bunting around the outside and lots of lights for night time.
Dot and her son were lovely, and if we had needed anything I'm sure would have been happy to help.
If your children need playgrounds and entertainment this would not suit you, but if you like space, peace and simple facilities this is perfect.

Just spent a wonderful weekend at Dots, we were welcomed with a beautiful smile and told to pick any pitch we wanted. We chose one by her family's goats and pigs, the campsite was round in shape and very safe for our children, who could be seen at all times, so we could really relax.
Dot allowed our children to feed her animals, which was a great picture opportunity. Dot came armed with lots to do in the area, there are two pubs within a five minutes walk, a lovely farm shop with cafe and yummy cakes.
We also had a beautiful walk with outstanding views to mez maze and then onto a stately home for afternoon tea and new forest icecream. On Sunday Dot even popped over with cupcakes to celebrate the jubilee.
I would love to go back to this new campsite, it would be just perfect for a family/friends get together as it only has 15 pitches, Dot and her family were a total dream and couldn't have been more accommodating.
