Just back from a weekend at this fantastic site. It has good sized pitches in a fantastic setting. The kids loved all the games available in the Edwardian greenhouse and the huge play area in front of it. There are also woods behind the campsite which were great for them to play in and build dens or be explorers. As cars aren't allowed onto the site, its really safe for little ones to run about by themselves.
You can hire a fire basket which comes with logs etc and is fantastic for warmth and keeping away the midgies! The hub has picnic benches round a large fire and undercover which is great for when its wet and the small kitchen area has a kettle, cooker and microwave. Though I didn't really see anyone use the cooker and microwave. There is also phone charging and we had full signals and internet on our phones.
The toilets/ showers were always clean and are lovely and warm due to their underfloor heating. The couple who run the site are very friendly and helpful and always willing to give you pointers on things to do. They also want to ensure you are enjoying your stay and if there is anything you need. Initially when booking, I did think it was slightly expensive but having been there, I'd say it was worth every penny.

Just returned from a wonderful site. Pitches are a very good size, owners very helpful. The grounds are beautiful, although alittle boggy. A woodland behind the site with lots of wildlife. Beautiful victorian greenhouse complete with vines, if you want to go and have a quiet read.
The facilities are second to none. Brand new toilets and showers very clean and very warm. A lovely hub area with tables to sit out of the rain. We needn't have bothered taking our stove or cool box as a microwave, cooker and fridge are provided, as long as other campers are considerate and don't hog the facilities, you should have a great time. 10 minutes drive from Hawick where there is a Morrisons, Iceland, BM bargains etc. Fire pits are available for £5. 00 night.
As the site is quite small- not sure how many tents it will take it would benefit from having stricter rules about noise, as it does carry right over the area, and possibly a comment book for guests to leave feedback. Some good walks around the site, also, probably not suitable for dogs although they do take them- they might frighten the hens!

Newly opened campsite.
Really great and quiet location.
We camped near the walled garden. Lots of space which is great.
Staff are really friendly and helpful, you can hire a fire pit for £5. 00 a night.
Facilities are excellent toilet and showers are very clean and fresh smelling, plenty of hot water.
In the hub which is where the toilets are there is a washing area for dishes, a cooker and a fridge, there is also a boot wash. If it is wet there are round picnic benches and chairs in the hub so you can keep dry.
Pubs and shops are a few miles away.
All in all a great wee site.
