Great campsite, exceptionally clean facilities, friendly efficient service. Nice flat grassy pitches. Peaceful! Exceptional value for money with electric hookup included. Very good paid for wifi, handy for the wet days. We'll be back.

Great little site. There are beautifully neat and spacious hard standings for vans and a large field for tents with hook ups and water at each well spaced pitch. Pitches can slope slightly but not enough to worry about! Owners were very friendly and helped us by recommending the more sheltered pitches as it was fairly windy when we arrived. The views are lovely - out over Largo Bay and beyond. It is approx 2 miles down to the village and the beach. We took the car as we didn't fancy the walk back up! The bay has a long sweeping beach where we were able to let the dog happily run himself to a standstill. There is also a rougher area of the camping field where you can walk your dogs to quickly splash their paws. (You could even have your dog groomed while you are there as the owners have a dog grooming business!) Toilets and shower blocks were spotless and warm. No freezer facility but a wash-up area with loads of hot water and a hairdryer in the shower block. There are other good beaches further along the coast at Earlsferry and Elie and an exciting looking (?) chain walk that the fitter and braver than me can have a go at.

We stayed here 3 nights and were charged £12 for the 2 of us in a tent. The weather was good so we were able to pitch on a flat grassy area in front of the main site with fantastic views across the Firth of Forth towards Edinburgh. If windy, there were some more sheltered pitches and hard standings further back. Showers £1 but the cubicles plenty large enough for 2 to share. Only a few loos, but it was quiet. Strangely lacking in basins and mirrors?
Ideal for exploring Fife. Can recommend St Andrews (also Morrisons is here about 10 minutes) and the fishing village of Crail.
Excellent little site if the weather's kind

Lovely clean site. Plenty of space for each pitch. Spectacular views over the Firth of Forth. Short drive to sandy beaches. Close to many small villages and large towns.
Ladies toilet block nice and toasty. The men's, nice and cool. Shower cubicles 1 metre square £1 for 10 mins. They also have one very large cubicle suitable for a couple or for showering the kids/grandkids.
Definitely be back.

Fantastic little site, all hardstanding pitches fully serviced, and all for an amazingly cheap price. Great views and easily located for historic St Andrews or less than an hour to Edinburgh. Site kept to a very high standard.
Will definitely be back.

Lovely site.
Small and quiet.
Lots of thought has gone into the layout of the site and it is very caravan friendly.
Pitches are hard standing, with water and waste at each pitch.
We have an enormous awning and there was plenty of room for it.
Facilities are in adapted containers and are very clean and spacious.
Owner provides slabs if you want to have a BBQ!
Site is very well maintained.
Ideal location for BIRDWATCHING, as many of Fife's hotspots are a short drive away.
St. Andrew's is nearby, as is Dundee.
Lovely views out to the Forth Estuary and beyond towards the Lothians.
Beach is a ten minute drive away.
Owners couldn't have been friendlier or more helpful.
So glad we happened upon this site - have already recommended to friends.

Booked for 3 nights for a tent and 2 people - me and my son. Was looking for a site that was central to Fife Coastal walk, St Andrew's, etc, and this fitted the bill. Also, many places only allow caravans, so it is great that the site was available to those of us who still prefer canvas! The damage was £15 per night, and I noted that some felt this was a bit steep, but other nearby sites were about the same or considerably more. Was able to book electronically (fab!). Arrived on a Saturday, and site owner was very helpful in directing me to the correct pitches. Ground was on a bit of a slope, but nothing extraordinary. Each pitch had power and a standing pipe (even for tents! Unheard of!). Views to kill for, looking westward down the Forth and up to Largo Law. The facilities were in moveable containers, clean, with 3 electric showers. There were only 4 toilets by my counting, which I thought was a bit light. Wasn't overly crowded so no problems with queues and all quiet by 10pm during my stay.
Overall view - nice site, good location and basic but clean facilities. I thought that £15 per night given power for a tent was really good value.
Improvements? A few more toilets would be good, especially if it were busier. That's about it, other than a plea to put more hooks in the toilet and shower cubicles (at least 3 - for coat, towel and wash-bag!

Well laid out small site with superb views over the Forth estuary. The hard standings have their own water point and drain, a real bonus. The adjacent rally field would be great for children playing. Toilet and shower facilities are located in containers and a mobile trailer pod and, although perfectly adequate and clean, the layout and ratio of toilets/showers is a bit strange. (one wc for gents in one container and another presumably multipurpose in the same pod as the shower) I couldn't figure out if the other container was multiuse or not as it was locked. The site was very quiet on our visit so it wasn't really a problem. An ideal location for visiting the East Neuk of Fife and St Andrews but some distance from local shops etc. But this probably adds to the charm and tranquillity of the site. Great value for money.

Once again Forth House is a marvel. Spending the week here for the school holidays. Site has had a few other hard standings added. The shower pod still fantastic value for £1. We have been to many tourer sites and the £15 charge for awning, caravan and adults is fantastic. With waste and water on your doorstep.
Fantastic views. Near to all amenities of St Andrews, Ellie and the likes.
Fantastic playing field for kids with kites or balls.
Will be returning again year after year.

The site is reasonably well situated for distant views across the waters towards Edinburgh, although anyone wanting supplies would find in necessary to drive into Upper Largo a few minutes drive away as there's apparently nothing nearer.
It's located along a short but badly rutted track and the 6 available tent pitches were within a roundel that was reasonably level, but badly in need of some TLC in terms of filling holes and cutting the grass.
The site is served by a small combined toilet/shower block apparently created in an old shipping container positioned a short distance along the track running between reception and the main site and in my opinion, the facilities are inadequate given the size of the site.
The owners were friendly enough however, I feel the £15 fee was very high, given that the average for the numerous other (and better maintained) sites we stayed at whilst in Scotland was nearer £7. By comparison, Forth House Caravan Site was by far and away the dearest by more than £5.
I also found it unacceptable to be confronted with an additional £1 fee for a shower.
