We arrived at this site with our 3 teenage children, the receptionist spoke good english and was very friendly and informative. We were given a site map and told we could pitch anywhere as the site was still fairly quiet. The pitches were large and well marked out and divided by lush trees, with water taps at every 3rd pitch. We had no problems parking our 8m motorhome.
The toilet facilities were some of the best we had seen after 7 sites in Spain and Portugal. With many showers and toilets, the toilets even had toilet roll and seats which was unusual. A large dishwashing area with hot water which was a first. The pool area is shared with the attached 4 star hotel and was very impressive.
There was a small shop on site and a bar and restaurant, campers could also use the hotel cafe at discounted prices. One of the best things about this site is the location, 3 miles from the stunning city of Salamanca, we cycles along the dutch style cycle path along the river into the city centre, we also used the bus which comes right to the site gates.
There is a Lidl and Le Clerc Supermarket within 1 mile of the site, which is useful. We would certainly return.

We have stayed on this site often on our way down to Portugal usually in December or January. It is one of the few open all year. The site is big with lots of spacious pitches, all flat numerous water points including a hot water point. Electricity is 10 amps but has no earth, heated facilities are good but chilly in winter.
This visit was April and the facilities much warmer, large toilets, showers and basins all with hot water. Excellent washing up and laundering facilities. A small shop bread and a small selection of groceries.
The reception is in the hotel. Which also offers a varied good value menu with reductions for campers. Wifi is free throughout the site. A hourly bus service to salamanca starts in the hotel carpark. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful all speak English.
Local shops are within easy walking distance.

Great stop over heading north/South and also great to visit the beautiful city of Salamanca.
It's a large site with plenty of showers/toilets etc but the blocks weren't heated and although hot water, showering wasn't a pleasant experience!
The wifi was a little temperamental but we did have it for most of our stay. You can walk into the suburb of Santa Marta or get bus into Salamanca. Unfortunately the bus wouldn't take dogs so we had to get a taxi with our cocker spaniel which cost about 11 euros each but was worth it and hotel organised taxi in and easy enough to get one back from Plaza Mayor.
Hotel staff all very helpful. All in all, a pleasant stay.

This is another very useful site as a stopover on the way south, although it's worth staying a bit longer to visit Salamanca which is a wonderful old city.
It's a large, level, grassy site in a quiet situation behind a large, smart hotel. In winter the site reception is closed and you check in at the hotel. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful and gave us information about the town and the bus service. Then we were free to find our own pitch.
We have quite a large caravan and some of the pitches were quite small but we found that there are a dozen or so larger ones just in front of the toilet block. However in winter when it's not busy twin axles and large motorhomes can pitch comfortably on the wide site roads.
The toilet block was quite smart but unheated and I wasn't brave enough to use it! OH did and said there was plenty of hot water.
Wifi is free and available throughout. The bus into town actually stops in the hotel car park, which is very useful. It takes about 20 minutes and costs 1 euro 40.
At 16 euros a night, ACSI price, this is a useful stopover.

Of the 8 campsites we stayed on during our 2013 tour this was the one that disappointed. On paper this one looked good. In reality our faces dropped.
As we arrived during the low season the reception building was closed so we booked in at the reception desk in the hotel.
As we drove onto the site it looked as if there had been no maintenance since the previous season. Grass on some pitches was knee high and there were no bins.
We found a pitch were the grass was not to long and was reasonably solid underfoot.
The sanitary block looked as if it had not been cleaned for a few days. The toilets themselves look as if they had been recently refurbished but the showers had not and were quite dated.
Upon arrival we received a discount voucher for a meal in the hotel. We used it and experienced the worst meal we had in Spain - ever.
Campers are able to use the extensive facilities in the hotel including tennis courts and swimming pool.
There is a good bus service which picks up at the site and goes into the centre of Salamanca.
As we left on 31st May the mower man arrived. Things might be better maintained during the summer but we will not stay here again.

We researched Camping Regio on the Internet, as it was an easy day from where we landed at Santander.
The campsite is about 3 miles out of Salamanca and not only has a caravan/motorhome area but also a 4 star hotel, so there are always clean facilities and hot meals and a bar to be had.
I would estimate over 100 parcelas laid out in regimental order. Each has 10A power. There are numerous water points available on the site, but as it was winter when we visited all the water was turned off and the taps had been removed to prevent frost damage. The only water available was from a hose in the car wash bay.
All the sinks had hot & cold water but none of the taps had threads for a hose and the natural shape of the sinks prevented you from putting a container underneath. There was no potable water available.
Toilet facilities were functional and clean, but looking dated. We didn't use the showers, as it was -3C each morning and there was no heating in the toilet block.
The parcelas are all on a slope and the access roadways would be fine for a smaller van but ours is an 8 metre double axled van and there was no way we could access most of the spaces without motor movers. There are a dozen or so places on the periphery of the site that were big enough to take the van and the car without uncoupling.
None of the parcelas have a hard standing and being on a slope could prove difficult to exit in wet weather. We noticed a smaller motorhome having 3 goes with wheels spinning to get back onto the access road.
All in all the site is showing its age and inneed of a make over and I expect the parcelas would have been laid out when vans & motorhomes were much smaller.
On the plus side internet was free and very good.
We would not consider staying here for a holiday but would use it again as an overnight. We paid EU16 with an ACCSI card including electricity. When we left next day the site was empty and there was no staff present, so we checked out at the hotel.
Being in the middle of winter one does have to make allowances and I expect the site would be more up-beat in summer.

The plots on the site are quite tight, and we made the mistake of selecting one that was slightly below the road level. When leaving we did encounter some wheel spin and realised that we were lucky to get out without too much fuss.
There is a bus that goes from the site to Salamanca that is very good and convenient as it pulls right onto the hotel car park, (so no fear of getting lost!).
Situation normal out of season with regard to shop, it was closed. Toilets and showers clean and well maintained.
