We have stayed here previously and love the site x
Simple but with an excellent club house on site with excellent sports bar.
Dave is always available the site manager and always happy to help.
Toilets clean unable to comment on showers as I use my own however small Block near toilets.

Friendly, welcoming site with good access to local area, on the edge of the Trough of Bowland.
Dave was very helpful on arrival, providing various options & hook up points.
There is quite a lot of building work going on, but no noise after 4. 30pm.
Toilets and showers clean & well maintained. Club house well equipped with games room and evening meals served.
At £16 a night, I would definitely recommend and would happily return

Used this site in the past with a tent, they had a large field that was ideal for people with tents but on this visit the large field was a construction site so we used the small area behind the club's bowling green.
We had a good time but we found they are catering more for the camping and caravan members in larger motorhomes, caravan members turned up for a rally and took over the place so we didn't have a drink in the outdoor seating area of the club because it was as if it was their own personal area.
Shame it's now catering for the caravan club members with hard standings and not for people with tents who really only have a small back area.
Still a good site though.

Pleasant welcome. The club house serves campers and meals are available as well as a good range of drinks.
The clean pitches are basic and there's currently a lot of housebuilding going on around the site.
They are also building a dedicated campsite adjacent to the present area so expect some noise during the working day.
There's a village shop within walking distance.
Would return.

Fairly peaceful site set in the grounds of an old hospital. We were on CS pitch as we're Camping and Caravan Club members. Not much of a view though.
The field was surrounded by high security fencing and trees but it felt secure and resonated with the sound of birds.
We asked for a hardstanding pitch with EHU but were put on grass. Doesn't look like there's a choice if you're a Camping and Caravan Club member, so bear this in mind if you book as there's no difference in price anyway.
The hard standing area was very busy though and looked like it catered more for large families and groups. There was another more open field with a few tourers which looked a bit quieter. But didn't notice if EHU was available there.
Warden was friendly and helpful. Didn't use facilities as we have our own so can't comment on cleanliness etc. Clubhouse is open to none members of the sports club. Clean and spacious inside and drinks reasonably priced.
Would return.
