We were visiting family in the area after we had been touring in Suffolk.
The sat nav took us to the site which is very basic. We had electric hook up which was metered. We stayed two nights over a week end and met the owner on the day we left when he read the meter and calculated how much we owed him. You need a token for the shower but we did not use it.
The site is near the Grand Union canal where there is a fair amount of canal boats moving up and down. However it is also near the mainline train route for the London to Birmingham run. You can hear the trains rushing past but they don't run after 11 ish and start again about 7 in the morning. Surprisingly you do get used it.
It is a good location for the M 1 and there are some lovely villages near by which are near the canal.

Really reiterating what the last reviewer said. A really nice setting next to Grand Union Canal. Basic site, a bit tatty but perfectly adequate. Nether Heyford is a pretty village a 15 minute stroll away with a shop and 2 pubs. Regular buses into Northampton. Main railway line is a bit noisy. There are about 10 trains every hour and they are moving at high speed, but, as they say, you get used to it. Toilet and shower a basic portacabin but perfectly useable. Only £12. 00 for 1 night including electric (it is metered). Really nice guy came and collected the money and red the electric meter and stayed for a chat. All in all a really nice site. We will definitely go again when next in the area.

Stayed one night at this charming little site. The site is situated on a very pretty canal where narrow boats pass by - really picturesque. The toilet and shower block is very basic, but clean and usable.
The warden was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the canal.
The nearest village is about 10-15 minutes walk away where there is a shop/ post office etc.
The downside to the site is the fact that the London main line railway runs just to the back of the site and runs until quite late in the night, however this didn't bother us at all.
Overall a great, cheap little site perfect for an overnight / weekend stay.
