Just spent the weekend at sunnyvale and found the facilities very good, basic but good, you will go a long way to find a site so close to the beach,

The site has 32 hardstandings, the grass was well mown and there were plenty of water points and a elsan point next to the toilets,

The previous review makes a point of saying there are no children's facilities but there are two fully equipped playgrounds within 20 mtrs of the touring field a cafe fish and chips shop bar and general store

Yes the toilet blocks are professionally converted containers but so what its not the hilton,

I can't fault the site for a great family weekend.

Well to start arrival, through reception ok, explained by receptionist where touring field was, but no site rules (which way to park or any other requests), when arrived in the field all I seen was a field with 32 hard standing pitches, none were the same size, I looked around for toilet/shower block wasn't really sure there was any so we pitched our motorhome, we went on the hunt, to our surprise the toilet/shower block consisted of 2 converted 20 foot containers, 1 ladies/1 gents consisted of 2 toilets each & 2 showers to which we never used, the plastic curtains that hold back water I think had cleaned the floor in a previous life, no privacy, the 2 showers were open fronted with one bench for 2 people to share unable to lock the door between shower/toilets. Then we found no area for the children to play (slide swing sand pit) in the touring area we had to go the other side of the static park to find any, the arcade was closed high season and it was closed. And to cap it no dishwashing area at all. The annoyance was we had paid £30 a night to stop on a site that was not really any better than a field. The site facilities are well below standards, we think that they are trying out the touring site but not to expectations of holiday makers. Off site there were plenty of places to eat, shop, the site is next to the coast, the only benefit of the site.
