Not want we expected. Looking at photos and description we thought we will be a bit more remote not and not between cricket and football fields. There is no character to this place, it feels like a campsite within M25 not in remote and scenic areas of Cornwall.
Toilet/shower facilities placed in changing rooms of football club same as wash up facilities - quite far away from the campsite - would not feel safe to walk there alone at night time.
Overall clean facilities but didn't feel like camping.

Ideal location and relaxed atmosphere. Enjoyed strolling down to Mousehole Harbour.
The site was very open and there was plenty of space for me to pitch up.
I was expecting it to be more crowded.

Great little site which has all you need for a good old non nonsense camping trip. Lovely level pitches (well, it is next to a football pitch!) all very well maintained. The facilities are all situated in the club changing rooms, so is what you would expect from a small football club, basic but clean and spacious and lots of hot water. What I found helpul was a separate room with toilet and shower designated for parents and children.
The main man Les was so welcoming and friendly and had packs full of local information and discount vouchers which really came in handy.
Really nice clubhouse which was open each of the 3 nights we were there, with table football and pool table and sold a decent selection of bottled alcoholic and soft drinks and bar snacks.
The location is fantastic, being just 500m from a lovely pub in the really pretty little village of Paul and only a few minutes walk downhill to Mousehole with its beautiful harbour and more nice pubs.
Really enjoyed our stay and as a supporter of lower league football was great to know that the all the proceeds are going back into Mousehole AFC who are already reaping the benefits.

We spent 3 nights on this sight & must be honest we were very surprised to see a football pitch right next to the tent pitches but once we got passed this we were very happy with our stay.
The changing room facilities & toilets were cleaned daily & because it's a small-ish sight compared to most you could easily have a hot shower & not feel rushed as they are also free to use. This sight has no electric hook up but does have a few sockets available.
You have availability to a freezer for ice packs also an outside hot water sink for washing up.
We didn't use the on site club house but it was well used by others.
All the surrounding areas were lovely & easy to get to walking, by car, bus or train which we used all of those.
It would be great if the club could get running water down to the campsite & maybe a pop up shop in the shed once or twice a day for basics, would come in handy when you have no refrigeration use & no easy/quick access to a shop, campfires off the ground are allowed so it would be great to see fire pits provided at a small charge of course, just a suggestion's from regular campers & might help generate another income for the club.
See you next year

Nice flat site. Owner les couldn't have been more lovely and helpful. Facilities are clean and basic but there's an online bar. Nice sized field not noisy or over packed. Was a nice cheap campsite and so don't turn up expecting all mid cons. It saved us about 100 quid to stay for a week in Cornwall omitted to the £30 a night alternatives. Lovely local pub (50 gins behind the bar and local ales) just down the hill and Mousehole harbour is down the bottom of a steep hill. Only complaint which isn't anything against the site is that the beach and harbour ate out of bounds to dogs, but then quite a few in Cornwall are. Again no fault of the campsite. And Hayle is not that far away in the van and dog friendly. Perfect location for visiting st Ives, Penzance and minark theatre. Only given 8 for location because was bit tricky in our camper coz of steep hills. But againost of Cornwall is like that. Cheap and cheerful

Nearest site to Mousehole, we ended up on a route which went through Mousehole which is best avoided, I struggled to get the motorhome through the narrow streets. The site is by a football field and the showers and loos are the footballers changing rooms. I didn't have much success getting hot water in the shower. The village is called Paul where this site is located, we were recommended for food to the local pub, but found the locals and staff unfriendly. Mousehole was lovely, about a mile down and up a steep hill, but worth the walk. We just stayed 1 night at this site which happened to be the footballers practice night!

A large plot of land next to a football pitch.
The facilities of the football club are available for the campers.
Wich means toilets and showers. Hot water can be taken from the showers for washing and dishes. In the dressing rooms is electricity and wifi available.
It is quit and friendly here. In the small town village Paul there is a pub, where you can get meals.
Beautiful Mousehole with pubs, restaurants and a shop is a 20 min walk away
The camping facilities will be updated in 2015, so I was told

We stayed at mousehole football ground for 7 nights. This is a very new site and its a learning curve for them, saying that this is such a lovely and friendly camp site. The facilities are the football changing rooms, away are female and home are male but don't let this put you off, the showers are powerful and also hot and there is loads if room to get changed. There is electricity in the changing rooms so you can charge your phone or use your hairdryer, the shower room has a lock the door so other people can use the toilets. There is a club house which sell bottle beers, ciders, spirits and soft drinks. There is also a pool table (costs 40p) and a dart board. The club house has male and female toilets.
The site is In a small village called paul, its a 5 minute walk into paul which has a lovely little church and a nice pub called the kings arms. A further 15 min walk down hill is the beautiful town of mousehole which has a little beach, one thing I suggest that you don't drive into mousehole as there is only one car park that gets full very quickly and its £3.
When you arrive at the campsite you will be greeted by the owner who is such a lovely bloke and will go anything to help you, he will give you a pack which will include a map of the area and couple suggestions of there to see and do, I recommend the boat trips from newyln to search for dolphins, Baskin sharks, seals and other wildlife you may be lucky to see.
Newyln is very nice fishing village which has a lidl, tescos and a petrol garage also newyln is the way to st Michaels mount which is well worth a visit. I have got to say this is a lovely site.
