Great site only 5 mins walk from centre with pubs and restaurants. Friendly staff.
Fab facilities with hot showers and clean toilets.
No EHU but for £7pppn, we found this to be great value, any tight whingers need not bother

Although the facilities are not open due to covid, was greeted with friendly staff, and showed where the drinking water and elsan points are,
Fantastic location, just a few minutes stroll from the site to the town center.

A very warm welcome at the office in the main building. Always nice when they're expecting you.
Advised to use the secondary carpark as the main field was very boggy but also that there had been warnings that the river may well burst its banks. Contact number taken from me just in case.
Very close to the city centre and a simple 5 min walk. Lovely city and highly recommend this site for a visit to Hereford and the surrounding area.
Such lovely people and felt very well looked after

Excellent sight really enjoy staying, with friendly staff facilities always clean and even a bar if you fancy a drink,
Close to the town centre and shops, traffic noise can be a bit worrying but not a problem, value for money I've given a 5/10
Because at £14 a night for two persons in a tent is getting a bit on the expensive side,

Just returned from a glorious Bank holiday weekend here.
The place, although at near full capacity was very welcoming and well run. We could choose our pitch from several and were allowed to settle in and sort out paperwork&payment later. We enjoyed it so much we stayed an extra night. Facilities were good and I only noticed some minor flaws.
1-The washing up area, although had 3 sinks and plenty of very hot water, was open to the elements.
2- there was nowhere to freeze blocks or a communal fridge, (especially useful to us tent campers)
One exceptional bonus was that the rowing clubhouse laid on a very welcome breakfast buffet for the bank hol weekend at a reasonable price to save us faffing with stoves in the morning.
It was a cinch to walk into the city centre and although near to the main road and bridge the campsite seemed very quiet and rural especially on the overflow area on the rugby pitch itself. Near to the tranquil river.
Plenty of walks along and across the river and around this lively old city and its cathedral and castle green.
A gem of a pitch on a pitch!

It's 7 quid a night now and no open fires allowed, BBQ OK if off the ground. Nevertheless, it's dog friendly and a flat well grassed 'field' next to the rowing club, a stone's throw from the cathedral and on to the shopping streets.
The welcome was very friendly and relaxed. Hereford itself has a few decent pubs and cafes, locals friendly, for southerners the ale is cheap.
A decent uncomplicated spot for a budget tent break with a canine in tow.

What a great little place this is, ideally sited it's basically a field adjacent to the Hereford Rowing club, with the river running past its a lovely spot.
For £5 per person per night you have full 24 hour access to the rowing clubs shower & toilet facilities,
use of their bar & restaurant (provided there's not a function on) OK there's no EHU's but the site is a 10 minute walk from the city centre, with loads of shops restaurants pubs etc,
there is also an Asda 24hr supermarket just over the bridge.
Ideal place to stay whilst exploring this lovely old worldly city we will definitely be back

What a gem on the south bank of the River Wye a large field park anywhere. No hookup but basic facilities free ie toilets and Elsan and fresh water.
Use of showers belonging to rowing club 'communal'. Cost to camp was £5 per adult per night any unit. Only a 10 min stroll really to the city centre with all big name shops and independent ones.
Asda Superstore same distance other direction along the river bank. Plenty to watch bit peaceful. Amazing spot to camp will definitely be coming again.
9/10 due to communal showers otherwise would be 10/10

Stayed here a couple of nights as it was handy for the town. We were the first visitors of the season so the grass was still a bit long.
The facilities are 'interesting' ~ we didint use them but as far as I could see the showers were the communal rowing club showers but looked ok.
Tap, elsan and rubbish points are at the back of the club house.
Handy supermarket just over the bridge~ about 400m; easy stroll into the town about the same the other way; nice walk along the river adjacent to the site.
Cheap and cheerful, very handy for the town.
