My 11 year old daughter and I wanted to camp in the woods with a real fire so we found this site close to us and we were not disappointed, the owner was fantastic and gave us a tour of the WW1 trenches once he had booked us in, it was a perfect camping experience for us the pitches are individual and the one we had was private with very green grass and our own fire pit, you purchase the fire wood from the owner and follow the fire use rules which are basic common sense and you experience a genuine 'camp in the woods' time, the site is right on the road but we hardly noticed any traffic noise, the toilets are clean and so are the outdoor showers, no power hook ups or outdoor lighting so head torches or torches are required, it was so dark you could see double the amount of stars, we will definitely be using this site regularly!

Just returned home from a lovely visit to Dreamy Hollow, and wish we could have stayed longer!
The campsite itself was a little tricky to find, but we managed to find a gate with a small sign near the woodland. Our pitch was a perfect size for a couple, and had a fire pit area looking out to a peaceful field. The toilets and showers were clean and had hot water. The large pitch for groups looked great - hoping to come back with some friends.
The owner was very helpful, advising us on the local area, showing us around the trenches and and even collected some fire/tinder supplies to get us started.
I will definitely be coming back, and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for camping with character.
Thank you!

This was a fantastic find, I almost don't want to tell anyone about it, but the owner was so great he deserves the praise!
Although a little tricky to find, mostly due to our awful sat nav, we were given great help and instructions from the owner and on arrival we received a lovely welcome with a guided tour and an information leaflet about the site and surrounding area, places to see, things to do etc.
There is no electricity on site but pathways are clearly defined and toilets are lit with sensor lighting, there are lovely hot outdoor showers which have had a lot of thought put into them by a seasoned camper! Although close to the road we found traffic noise is barely noticeable and Separate pitches make for a much more natural camping experience amongst the woodland!
The WW1 trenches were a lovely bonus and we all enjoyed exploring them! The site is constantly being improved and developed and it was a real Joy to stay there, in fact our youngest son cried when we said it was time to go home!
A truly stunning place to camp, we will definitely be returning!
