Echoing the previous reviewer, this is a good basic campsite behind an excellent pub, with great Hook Norton beers and impressive pub food. It is very dog friendly. We spent a pleasant evening by the log fire with our two dogs. The landlord is friendly and helpful, as were all the staff. The site is tidy, with usual facilities: water, EHU, chemical disposal, toilets (accessible when pub open). There are some good footpaths in the area and a number of attractions including Rollright Stones and the Hook Norton brewery. The site was quiet at night, although there was some traffic noise during the day.
One issue however which does need addressing: the waste site next door (not a problem in itself) has two free roaming guard dogs, who wandered round the campsite at intervals, coming quite close to our van. This happened at 4am and my husband had to get up to shoo them away. There was also a substantial amount of dog mess in the camping field which was unpleasant. We had to clear up four lots before we could put up our awning. I would not recommend this site for children for this reason. The addition of some more fencing around the site would prevent this problem and enhance the place considerably.
A bargain though at £10 a night and a good location so we will return.

Stayed for 2 nights end of October 2013, Entrance to pitches is not through the pub car park but a gateway round the corner, which is a bit tight, but ok if you swing across the other side of the road to enter. Site seems to be going through a major upgrade, new fencing separates the pub garden from the camping area, new electrics, water and pitch markers, with the ground work for hard standing pitches being started. Very clean elsan point and waste water point at back of pub. Pub itself is a proper country pub, open fires three Hook Norton real ales, in superb condition. Ate in the pub both nights with no complaints, land lord and all staff very polite and helpful. Would have to mention how dog friendly the bar is with a huge wine glass of doggie treats, free to all, on the bar.
Local area visited Chipping Norton, not to much there but Sainsbury's for supplies. Hook Norton brewery which has a gift shop and offers brewery tours. Finished the afternoon off in Banbury which has a proper market on a Saturday. Very handy for exploring the Cotswolds and will be back with friends.
