Stayed at this site, every now and then a site stands out for its service and facilities, this is such a site. The owner Rachel could not have been a more helpful lady. The toilet and shower facilities where absolutely spotless as was the laundry room, I am not a fisherman but the created lakes add a lovely backdrop to the site and don't worry about the fishermen you wont even know they are there.
All in all a highly prized site that will only mature and improve even further.

We have just spent a fabulous night at this wonderful site. We were greeted by a lovely helpful lady who showed us to our pitch and all the facilities. The toilet block is superb and nice it's not covered in stupid signs stating the obvious like you get at so many sites. The pitches are large and all have hook up and water. There is also free wifi what more could you want. There is a very pleasant walk down a country lane into Oswestry about a mile. A beautiful town with lots of lovely pubs and restaurants. We had a perfect nights sleep and woke refreshed to amazing birdsong. A little oasis we will definitely be going back. It is child friendly but there is a lot of water about and if you have young children you would have to be on your guard

We stayed here over the first May Bank Holiday Weekend and really liked the site.
We were greeted by Rachel, who could not have been more helpful and set ourselves up overlooking one of the many course fishing lakes.
This is a very new site - possibly only been open for a couple of weeks but it has a lot a promise as it matures.
The loos were the best I've ever experienced in terms of cleanliness, with three good showers - push button, free.
There was enough space for 20-30 tents plus hard-standing for at least 10 caravans. We had a trailer tent and they didn't mind us setting up on the grass.
Good news for those techno-lovers. Free Wifi! - and it's reasonably fast too. (Bad news for those parents who thought it would be good to spend some quality time with the children).
As a new site, it still has a little bit of settling to do. The grass is still new and will thicken up over the first season or two but it is a little thin just now. There's also a bit of rubble and earth mounds over one of the fences that, when cleared will no doubt become an extension field. Washing facilities for pots and pans is currently limited to one sink with a double-drainer but there was plenty of hot water on demand. The same room also houses washing machines and driers and the bins outside the toilet block deal with general waste and recyclable materials.
There are some opportunities to make an already good site into a great one. The installation of a second sink for busy times would be a big improvement. I would also include some towel hooks by the handbasin's in the loos and some hooks on the back of the loo door to hang a coat whilst sitting on the throne! The only other thing I would add is an additional bin in the dish-washing room for the odd slop or two off the plates before washing.
I would strongly recommend this site as a good base to explore Oswestry and the surrounding area. If you are into course fishing, this is as close to heaven as you can get. The pitches are all level and you are never too far away from a hook up (although the far end caters for those who camp sans electricity).
The owner, Rachel, is keen to hear comments and I'm sure she will continue to build on an already strong foundation. Wishing her every success!
Oh, and did I mention there is a rather excellent micro brewery next door??? ;-)
We will definitely be back.
(By the way, the fishery is run by the same family and you can book pegs for fishing at the tackle shop there).
