 Nice site, split into different sections, one area is a club site.
Hard standing pitches surrounded by grass. Mainly seasonal caravans but a few pitches for passing trade.
Toilet block is a portacabin but was kept very clean.

Returned the site over the Easter break, very busy all pitches taken. The extra pitches added last year are now available some reserved for CC members. These are separated by small conifers (or will be when they grow). All pitches are double hardstanding.
The site has 3 main areas which are well spaced out the section behind the tall conifers is taken by seasonal tourers. The owner is always on hand for a friendly chat or busy doing odd jobs around the site.
The campsite is well positioned for visiting Shrewsbury (approx. 8-10 miles), Oswestry (approx. 6 miles) for larger shopping requirements, smaller everyday items are available from the Spar shop in Baschurch (approx. 2 miles).
If you’re looking for a well run friendly value for money campsite in this area then give Barncroft Touring Caravan site a try you will not be disappointed.

Just returned from a very good 4 night stay at this well run and friendly campsite.
All the pitches were hard standing, with electric hook-ups. Water, waste and chemical disposal were well positioned, and recycling well catered for.
Toilets and a shower were available and very clean. Campsite well positioned for visiting many places within an hours drive. Mr Eccleston was very helpful and accommodating.
The site is very secure with electronic entry/exit gate. Road outside busy during the day, but quiet at night. A site we will certainly be visiting again in the near future

Great site, which is undergoing some development with the owner constantly improving things. He's just added 10 new pitches. A number of pitches are taken up by seasonal users many of whom are extremely friendly.
Toilets are a Portacabin, one shower for women and one for men small charge for using. The grass is well maintained by the very busy owner, recycling facility also in use. No play area or facilities for young children.
Well worth a visit we will be returning.

Just over a mile off the A5, the site is currently being upgrade and enlarged. The works have no impact on the pitches as they are taking place at the far end of the site.
There is a gated entrance for which you need a code, we rang the number on the gate and were let in straight away. The owner is very friendly and helpful and obviously working hard on the site with lots of landscaping taking place.
Currently there are two area, separated by hedges, The rear area is mainly seasonal, with a few extra touring pitches. The front area has a few seasonal vans but several more touring pitches. All pitches are hardstanding with hook up. There are several water taps and a chem disp and grey water dump.
There is wifi across the site for £1. 50 per night. The showers / loos are in a portacabin type building, as previous reviewer states £1 or 20p depending on how long you want - we didn't use so can't comment on them.
We used for a one night stopover and it was peaceful as only us on site. We paid £13 with hookup (showers and wifi extra).

Lovely site, owner can`t do enough for you, shower is £1 for 5 minutes which is a bit steep, one shower for the whole site, so could get busy in summer months.
All hardstandings and a 6amp hook up. So watch how many things you have on. Lovely pub within 15mins walk.
