Been back to carbeil and had a great time as always.

Weather was great and pool was warmer, probably due to the new solar cover.

Showers are now free to use as well as the sauna, jacuzzi.

Site was really busy while we were there but everyone was friendly as always.

We had a great time and can't wait to go back.

A lovely and quiet little naturist site in S East Cornwall.

On the coastal path, so good walking and beaches. Downderry is a good sized village with: pubs, an excellent seafood restaurant (Blue Plate) and a convenience store that was open every time we passed.

Great facilities for a small site: pool, sauna hot tub (free to use) and bar.

Site is about half seasonal pitches -mostly mobile homes and half touring. One of the things that really makes it is the very friendly and welcoming staff, relaxed with a smile and offer of tea/coffee on arrival. Been twice both times were sunny, our pitches caught evening sun which always helps.

General facilities are fine, loos, showers (50p) and washing up room.

If you have wondered about naturist camping, but never tried; I recon this would be a good first experience.

Just been back to Carbeil naturist holiday park for a long weekend, haven't been for a while.

Site has improved since my last visit, the bar has been modernised and the pool area looks a lot better.

Kerry and her family made me feel very welcome as always and a longer stay is definitely on the cards during the summer months to top up my all over tan.

This was our 2nd stay here and we toughly enjoyed it. Kerry and her family are all very welcoming and a pleasure to talk to usually with a cup of tea or coffee on arrival.

The shower block is in the middle of a refurbishment so only one half was open but it did not bother us at all as we always shower together were possible, costs 50p (50p piece in slot) for approx 6 mins so 25p each for us.

There is a Pool, Jacuzzi and a sauna which are free to use.

Meals are available in the bar if pre booked. (When the light appears in the window the bar has opened)

When planning your journey to Carbeil do not NOT follow sat nav it will take you down a very narrow lane not advisable with caravan on back, go via Seaton which the last mile and a quarter gets narrow but is ok,

There is very good walking from this site along the coast path, to the east to Portwrinkle and further and to the west you can walk to Looe approx 5 miles but feels like 10. Also a walk along the beach to Seaton then through the country park to Hessenford, The Copley Arms, approx 4 miles each way.

Naturist beech 10 min walk from site.

We would definitely return at some point in the future.

Best naturist camp site we've ever stayed at. Extremely friendly family run site, nothing too much trouble. All the owners of other permanent caravans are friendly and recommend local activities and amenities of interest.

Shower block is fantastic, very clean and a good shower for 50p. Swimming pool is just right and not too deep. Bar atmosphere in the evening is very friendly.

Would recommend to all our naturist friends old and young. Can't wait to go back, worth a 300 mile drive!

Very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble, this is the 3rd year I've been here and there have been some very nice improvements in that time, most recently the toilet/shower block.

I like this site as its very secluded and peaceful and is only a 10 minute walk to a nearby naturist beach (tide permitting) if you prefer salt water to the on site pool.

On-site bar open evenings with a nice friendly jolly atmosphere, meals are served lunchtime and early evening at reasonable prices and kerry also does a roast on a Sunday which I can highly recommend.

All in all another lovely relaxing break, will be there again next year if not before.

We visited in our twin axle in July 2011.

The good points. Welcome cup of tea on arrival by the friendly owner/manager Kerry. Nice bar and excellent Sunday roast at reasonable price. 15 minute walk to naturist beach.

The bad points. Very difficult last mile through narrow streets with parked cars everywhere. No mobile phone signal anywhere in village, and no public telephone on site. Small placements (50 m2). Indifferently cleaned toilets with only about 6 minutes hot water for 50p. No set reception times and very often there was no-one there for most of the day.

However, having said all that, the campers were generally happy and there are many repeat bookings.

 This is a fantastic campsite.

I arrived expecting to stay in my tent for 10 days, but the wind and rain (50MPH) when I got there collapsed my tent. I was about to leave and return home very upset, but the manager (Michael) said they had a caravan they were selling and I could use that. They saved my holiday, and I want to thank all concerned for their help.

This site is completely naturist, you can go anywhere without clothes, but if you are a little shy then textile is OK.

They do home cooked food on site, the sunday roast is to die for, and prices are very reasonable, they have a friendly bar on site, again very reasonable prices (cheaper than most pubs),the toilet block is very clean and showers hot (50p 10-15 mins).

It is about a ten minute walk to the beach (take a good pair of trainers as you have to go over some slippery rocks to get to naturist beach), it is worth the effort as beach is beautiful, local pub (pub serves good quality food if a little pricey),and shop (Happy shopper) beer and all needed for a good holiday.

Small naturist site with friendly owners & guests and excellent facilities. Good toilets / washroom nice swimming pool & satellite tv connection free of charge. Bar & takeaway on site and beach nearby.

I would recommend this site to any new or existing naturists. It was used by non naturists during our visit and if you want to be in this location this would be a good choice.

I phoned Carbell on 19.06.06 to inquire about prices and their facilities. I was advised that Carbell is now a naturist campsite.
