Lovely welcome with cup of tea from Kath, given choice of pitch which was checked and mown by Rob before I pitched.
One of the cleanest sites I have been to, facilities immaculate and 3 showers and 3 loos plenty even though site appeared full. Lots of recycling and specific bin for doggy do.
Indoor and outdoor pot wash, laundry. No playground but lots of space for children to play.Very quiet, beautiful countryside.
Kath and Rob always on hand, checking site, lots of advice for walks to beaches nearby, Polly Joke and Crantock beautiful, nice walk through fields, maps for various walks brought to me by Kath with good advice.
Cubert village post office and supplies and chip shop. Sainsburys in town centre with parking and Morrisons within 10min drive.

Owners were really friendly and helpful. Happy to offer advice on local walks, pubs, restaurants. The site is situated in idyllic peaceful area of rich farmland. Beaches at Crantock, Polly Joke are just a short walk over the common and along the coastal paths.
Its a small quiet family campsite.
Showers and washblock are amongst the best I have ever seen.
There is not much in the way of local shops within walking distance, and the local shop in Cubert is terrible. A large Morrisons is not but a short drive away though.
Holywell bay and Crantock have good surf, and are a bit more local than the drive out to Watergate bay etc.
Highly recommend the Smugglers Den Inn for food and real Ale. The nearby 'Odds' restaurant is a must visit for those looking for something special and unique from a meal out.
Although nearby, the local pubs etc are not that easy to walk to at night, the narrow roads in the dark are a bit sketchy. Cubert taxis are reasonably priced and ready to come and collect you even if you are only travelling a mile up the road.
We very much enjoyed our stay.

Having just got back from a 10 day stay at Cottage Farm Touring Park my wife, dog and I cannot sing it's praises enough. From the time you arrive Kath and Rob make you feel welcome with the offer of a nice cuppa after escorting you personally to your pitch.
The site itself is spotlessly clean and complements the pristine shower block and washing up facilities (1 sink inside, 2 outside). There's also a laundry on site that we never used but was reasonably priced. The on site holiday cottages and static caravan look lovely and are extremely well kept.
Kath and Rob work hard to maintain this site, Kath appears to be oncall at all times to deal with new arrivals who seem to turn up at any time during the day (departure time isn't until 1200hrs so pitches may not be available till then but that didn't stop a lot of people turning up first thing in the morning, resulting in possibly a long wait).
Rob is always on hand to help with any problems you may have, and when he hasn't got a lawn mower or a mop in his hand he can usually be found around the recycling bins which are first class.
The site is set in an area of stunning natural beauty, there are loads of sights to take in along the miles of local walks available. Our favourite was up to Cubert Common, down to Pollyjoke, around the cliffs to Hollywell (Great place to watch the seals off the cliffs between Pollyjoke and Hollywell) then back up to Cubert (Approx 2hr walk).
The site is approx 5 min drive from Newquay and 10 mins to Perranporth so is ideally situated between the two. There is no shop on site but you are able to use the little log cabin on the site next door for any emergency items and there is a well stocked Londis nearby in the village of Cubert along with a Fish & Chip Shop and Cafe. Locally there are many pubs serving food and drink all day every day.
So in summary, we had a cracking 10 days at Cottage Farm Touring Park and are already discussing spending next years summer holiday at the site.

The site sits between Newquay and Holywell Bay just out of Cubert Village. Cubert has good local shops, a restaurant, post office and fish and chip shop. There are also some excellent walks around this area either short or long. Look out for the Cubert and Holywell village walks leaflets. There are several good beaches close to hand. Crantock Bay and Holywell have extensive beaches with good surf. There is also golf, pitch and putt, and an adventure park where karting for all ages is the theme.
The Newquay beaches are just a few miles down the road for bigger surf. Newquay has all the hustle and bustle of a seaside town but geared towards the young or young at heart.
The County of Cornwall and its wealth of attractions is small enough to be able to get anywhere easily within the day.
On arrival Kath greets you with a cuppa and personal escort to your plot. This is a lovely site. It is well kept clean and has the best toilets and showers I have been in this year. The showers are free. The owners have hit on just the right note to advise campers of the rules but not to appear too over zealous in the 'don't's department'. I had arranged for a hook up and Kath kindly provided the extension required to reach the output post free of charge. The south west has suffered with rather a lot of rain this year and our plots at the bottom of the site were quite squishy. We had four good days of dry weather but it didn't seem to dry out very quickly. In fact when I lifted my groundsheet(which was stuck like sticky back plastic after only 7 nights) there was an offensive smell. The owner provided me with a brush a watering and an area where I was able to get as much of the foul smelling earth off as I could. Despite this I would return here with a request for a plot nearer the top of the site.
A large black bin is provided to rinse wet suits in and recycling is in full swing.
There are two sinks for pot washing one al fresco and the other indoors.
There is a no noise policy after 10:30 pm and this was largely adhered to.
There is no children's play area and our children played on the grassy track which went round the site. It is not really suitable for ball games when the site is full and those are best left for the beach.
There is a shop on the adjacent caravan site which opens for a couple of hours in the morning for basic provisions.
Barbeques are allowed with prior permission from the owners. This is not usually refused on the understanding that it must be raised off the ground.
Reception is open from 9am to 11am and from 4pm to 5pm each day. The freezer is located in reception and the blocks can only be retrieved during the hours reception is open. I have to say that I found this restricting time wise as we wanted to be off in the morning and sometimes not returning until early evening. However, you could be sure your blocks were safe. There was a charge of 20p for each block.
However, we had a lovely holiday and Kath was a great hostess. This is somewhere I would return.

Stayed for three nights mid July. Couldn't be happier with the site and the owners. We were offered cups of tea and juice on arrival and even had an offer of help with the tent as the wind was getting up and it looked like rain.
I would say the site is for those looking for a bit of peace and quiet. The site is aimed at families and couples. There's no play park or shop on site but they really aren't needed. There's plenty of open space for kids to play (we have a three year old who was quite happy running around with a ball) and Cubert is only 2 minutes drive away and has a Londis for anything you need (food wise). There's a pub which looks lovely from the outside (we didn't get chance to try it out) and a chip shop also in Cubert.
The toilet / shower block were immaculate and there's also a family room if you have toddlers / babies.
There was torrential rain and strong winds for two of the three nights we stayed and the site held up fine. Drainage is good so no need to worry about getting washed away!
Holywell Beach is 5-10 minutes drive away and is much quieter (and in my opinion nicer) than the beaches in Newquay. There's a National Trust car park right next to the beach (£4 for non members, free for members).
Now we've found this site we won't be looking for anywhere else when head down to Newquay in the future. 10 out of 10!

My family and I have just returned from a great week on cottage farm.
If you want Butlins when you go camping then go elsewhere, if you like a quieter holiday set in the lovely Cornish country side, with a family friendly atmosphere then this is the site.
The couple who run the site could not be more welcoming. On our arrival,in the rain,we were greeted by kath, the owner who sorted us out with a cup of coffee and squash for the kids, and helped us settle in like the perfect hostess.
This is a small well kept site with all the facilities we needed for our holiday. The toilet / shower block are immaculate.
The rules that are well displayed around the site are well observed by the campers, which seems to help with the nice atmosphere that exists.
Having experienced some heavy rain whilst on holiday it was reassuring to see how quickly the field drained, which is fortunate as i forgot the wellies.
The location is ideal, the site is a few minutes drive from the gorgeous crantock, polly joke and hollywell bay beaches.
This is a great campsite which i have every intention of returning to.

This site is the cleanest site I have been to in years. The tiled showers and toilets are left spotless and cleaned regularly. Like the previous reviewer said it is very good and safe for kids. My two very young children did make friends and did enjoy it. However I have been to sites which have playgrounds before and I think this one would in fact benefit from it. Maybe they don't have the space? Despite being a small site it did not feel too crowded. I actually liked the curfew arrangement 10.30, as we were always whacked by then and ready for bed. The site is very quiet which was lovely it's in a very rural location and we woke to the sound of a Cockerel crowing in the farm yard about a hundred yards away. We could also hear cattle the other side of the lane and one morning there were dogs howling?! Don't quite know what that was about? We camped through some awful weather the week we were there and, the incessant rain did wear me down to the point that if we had all agreed then we would have left for drier accommodation. Kath The proprietor was always cheerful through this and worked hard to ensure the site ran smoothly and I was impressed by her stamina and her attitude. Oh and must not forget, to mention the cup of tea on arrival and the drinks for the kids where great. Thanks. On the whole a very enjoyable holiday.

We have just returned from a 10 day holiday at Cottage Farm. New owners have taken over this year and they gave us the warmest welcome I have ever had. "Cup of tea" Kath asked? And welcome mugs of tea and squash for the children were produced. The site and facilities were spotless. The shower block was great, there's a washing up and laundry room, and although there was often a queue for the sink, it was a great place to meet people and chat. I gather they are putting in an additional sink for next year. There were cloths left by the sinks and washing up area and a mop for the showers for people to clean up after themselves. I also liked the fact that there were different bins for recycling the rubbish. The pitches were good, plenty of room for tent and car (we have a Vario 9), and lots room in front for the children to run around and play. There's no playground but it didn't matter as the children made loads of friends and they had plenty of space to play in. There is a curfew of 10.30 but if you've got children they tend to be ready for bed by then anyway, but no-one seemed to mind a raucous game of Uno after too much port one night (that's me not the children). There are quite a few rules to abide by, but I felt that was a good thing. Things like the children weren't allowed to hang around the shower block, visitors had to be pre-announced and off the site by 10.30. The owners are always around and are really helpful. We liked it so much that we extended our stay and it's one we will definitely be returning to.

August 2003 Very good facilities for such a small campsite if not intimidating. This campsite however is very much a family orientated campsite due to the amount of children playing ball games. As we were 3 thirty-something's enjoying a golfing break we were told that under no circumstances were we able to speak after 11pm.
That said i would give this site three tent pegs out of five.
