A fantastically located site with dispersed pitches around a farm complex. Fantastic walks and views right on the doorstep.
A warm welcome from our hosts and good facilities for self-contained units.

Fields were set back on a working farm but a long way off the road down the farm track but well signed. The two teenaged lads who had bussed to the site were a bit daunted by the walk from the nearest bus stop with their bags.
We had 2 adjacent pitches for a family get together one with a motorhome the other a family tent, although we had additional sanitation for the tent the owner when she realised that one female was late in her 2nd trimester offered to open the adjacent single toilet for her as long as it wasn't in use by the whole field.
Mobiloos were available for weekly hire if needed but we didn't enquire price as we had sufficient for all 8 of us even without the above kind offer.
Will def go again.

Having read the only other review I feel that I need to add my comments to this site. I agree that the site is basic, but it is a CS (5 unit) site. Chemical disposal and water are all you need.
The fact the an electric hookup is available is a bonus. The location is absolutely lovely. I don't consider it to be overpriced - if the price was much lower the owners wouldn't bother.
The grass has always been short when we have been to the site. Unlike the Caravan Club CL site a bit further down the road this site has electric hookup and is flat: two bonuses compared to the bumpy CL site.
I still like the Caravan Club site, but this one is better.
This is a lovely, quiet get away from it all site. The local walks are truly excellent too.

This site is ok, but it's basically just a corner of a field with EHU and CWD and is 13 pounds per night, at least 2 pounds too expensive. The grass is cut regularly but not picked up so gets everywhere. We asked about this and were told to 'walk between the rows'.
It's a nice area, situated south of Chidham village down a private road signed to Cobnor, off the A259. It's on the right, past Canute Cottages and could do with a better sign. Turn right between the workshops and drive over the grass and round the corner. It's very well drained. There are pleasant views over the fields and cuckoos can be heard.
There is a footpath almost directly across the road, turn right, past the activity centre and there is a lovely walk around the shoreline.
There are more good walks locally, Kingley Vale with its ancient yew trees, West Wittering to the sand dunes and beach, and the south east corner of Hayling Island.
Surprisingly there are no shops in Chidham, the nearest small shop (Co-op) is left at the next roundabout heading east towards Chichester. A couple of miles further on, off to the left, is a a large Tesco.
We would return to the area, but would probably try another site.
