Large site with lots of hedgerows for shelter and well spaced so doesn't feel like loads of people on the site.
Showers are 10p for about 3mins and hot, there are 5 showers on site.
Washing up facilities are also 10p for bowl of hot water. Ice packs can be frozen in freezer provided.
Facilities are clean and well maintained.
Farm and wife run the site and are really helpful and always popping by to check you are ok!
Great location 20 minute walk to the Cornish Arms in St Merryn, Rick Stein's latest edition to empire - which was good for a pint but menu was standard. So we went around the corner to the Ivy House a small family run restaurant which the food was superb, excellent value and much more personal. My Husband thought that the mussels were the best he'd ever had!
Local beaches are stunning - Constantine being our favourite. Padstow is a 5 minute drive and great for food and pottering.
Great site, well located will be back again!

Out of the way site. The best of a bad job in a notoriously expensive area. The jolly old feller on the quad maybe couldn't see much profit in a lone camper, so put me in the hedge in a cornfield that was being harvested.
At the price I paid I expected free showers, but no. I didn't have time to put soap in my hand before the water went cold, ran out of coins and ended up having a stand-up wash at the sink. The 'facilities' are at the side of the farmyard. Luckily it was dry when I stayed.
I did walk to and from the coast on my rambles, but the roads are narrow and busy. I wouldn't take children on them.
Nothing to say much about Padstow. Fishing village, taken over by some celebrity chef allegedly. I went for the coast walking, but didn't realise how many caravan sites there were in the area.
Came across a lovely scruffy hidden pub at Trevone though (signed from the beach) which was infested by slurring locals who gave a great welcome. Made up for the rest of the trip really.
There are better areas and sites to go to. Sorry, not usually so negative.

Basic campsite in big field on small, family-run working farm off the beaten track in idyllic position. On arrival the owners were very friendly and helpful, and ensure you are OK during your stay. There are basic clean facilities; two showers for ladies and two for men; enough WCs, and two washing up sinks. Note that ALL hot water is extra on a meter (10p gets you an ultra-quick shower but no hair wash; 20p quick shower no hair wash and 30p with hair wash!). Electric hook up is limited. Unfortunately, we went during a week of rain and high winds and the field got muddy where cars went but generally was well-drained around the pitches. All-in-all, a nice site and enjoyed our stay. The beaches and countryside are to die for!

This site has basic amenities, two showers, toilets and two washing areas, but kept clean throughout my stay. The camping area is a large field situated in a farm (lots of hens and chickens roaming around away from camping area), very spacious and when campsite was full did not feel over crowded. The owners of the campsite were very friendly, helpful and flexible. The campsite was 2 miles away from Padstow harbour and large Tescos!, however you could only walk the 1st mile safely as the second mile was along a busy A road, not very safe to walk along. Cycling would be the ideal choice of transport around Padstow as very close to the campsite were some lovely beaches. The price was very reasonable and would recommend this site to any one who enjoyed basic amenities in a rustic and beautiful setting.

Sept 2002 Huge field with limited facilities. But showers and ablutions clean and tidy. Friendly owners on working farm. Really enjoyed stay at end of season but would imagine facilities would be stretched in high season.
