The roads to this site are not suitable for motorhome or caravans
Don’t know how or why the council allows a site on roads like this
We would have not used the site if we would have known how narrow the lanes were
The grass was too long
The site is ok for small cars and tents
If you go the wrong way a 20deg Hill
A front wheel drive motor home would not get up it in the wet

Chose this sitefor a short break (one night) because of proximity to Branscombe village. The Fountain Head pub is nearby.
As already described camping field is large with units gravitating to the edges. Grass reasonably short _noticed some mowing of pitches without, taking place but do not expect a bowling green like surface.
Good price 16 with hook up £2 less without.
August and good weather but not crowded - it was midweek but I was told that it doesn@ge uncomfortably busy at weekends.
Very relaxed _no pressure to vacate pitch by particular time.
Coast path iess than half mile away.
Access roads very narrow and demand competency in reversing if necessary.
We will return

Just returned from a week at Berry Barton. We normally stay at Oak Down but left it late this year so couldn't get in. We were pleasantly surprised with the cost- £14 per night with hook up (half the price of Oakdown) and no exrta charges for awnings extra persons etc.
On the plus side -as said Reasonable prices, Huge touring field with plenty of space for children's games etc, Great location if you like walking (close to coastal path) Modern and clean toilet block with free showers if a little small (2 Showers and 1 wc in the gents)
Negatives - Grass long in touring field, Site would benefit with some signage (ie Drinking water, reception, toilet block, touring field) Pitches are not marked out so it could be a bit of a free for all, Access to site is through very narrow, long lane. There are passing points for cars but there would be problems with two caravans meeting. We arrived late and left early and had no problems.
Overall opinion -Value for money if a little out of the way Would use again

Superb site geared up to static caravans. However, if you are in a tent, motorhome or touring caravan there is a separate field which hadn't been mown in a while, resulting in a lot of very wet grass due to the dew in early September. Quite different to the statics area which had nicely manicured grass. Wash up room containing one sink, washing machine and tumble dryer. Ladies had 2 very nice showers with plenty of room. 2 basins and think it was 3 toilets. Don't know about the mens. There was no freezer for ice packs nor a fridge for campers' use. Think really this is best treated as a static caravan park, the facilities just aren't there for camping. Facilities would be hopelessly inadequate during busy holiday periods. Though I enjoyed my few days there I would not want to spend any longer and it is doubtful I would return. Took two attempts to find someone to pay and never saw anyone cleaning though the facilities were reasonably clean.
