We stayed here two nights on a level and grassy field. There was no danger of getting bogged down, despite exceptionally heavy rain and no hard-standing pitch being available for us. As other reviewers have said, the owners are pleasantly friendly; the facilities clean, and never overcrowded when we were there. The site is just 500 yards from the junction of four roads: A30, A390, B3277, and A3075, so road noise could be a problem in a tent, though not in a van. In fact that position is possibly the site's greatest asset: it's an ideal centre for day trips to all parts of western Cornwall.

We stayed at Trevarth for 5 nights and it rained all the time the owners were friendly and on arrival we were shown to our pitch no6. Showers / toilets very clean, grounds were very well kept. Good base for touring around the area.
A shop on site would be an advantage as the local garage is expensive and understocked. There is a variety of larger superstores within a short driving distance of the site.
John and sandy work hard to maintain the site and it is a credit to them.

WE stayed at Trevarth for 4 nights and it rained nearly all the time we were there. We found the site to be as advertised in that it was well drained and the toilet block and dishwashing area very clean. The grounds are lovely with well established shrubs. We found the couple that own the site very friendly and welcoming. They have a good knowledge of the area and were able to give us information and timetables for local buses. We like to find sites where we can use the local transport and this site was ideal. We had read that the noise from the road was an issue. We stayed in the smaller field and never found the road traffic to be a problem. There were not many campers on site and we never had a problem with there only being the 2 toilets and 2 showers. We will definitely put Trevarth on our list of sites to return to.

I have just stayed at this site with various family members for 8 days. The site itself is in 2 fields which seem to be kept very clean. The owners are very pleasant and are definitely a visible presence, as they keep the fields well mown at all times. The weather was very changeable the first couple of days (windy and showery) and it did get a bit muddy (especially for my brother who did not have a tent pitch next to the fence). Having said that the toilets and showers (there are 2 showers in the ladies) were kept extremely clean at all times. Even though the site was pretty full I rarely had to queue for a shower and even then it was only 1 person in front of me. This has not always been the case at larger campsites that I have visited. The local pub is very good and is literally a 5 minute walk away. We had two excellent meals there. They were very friendly and catered for our young child with no fuss. There is a shop and post office which is well stocked with basics just a minutes' drive away. The beach at Portreath is particularly lovely. As far as we were concerned we had a very good holiday with only a couple of gripes. It would have helped us if there had been a family shower-room as we have a young child and the main road is right next to the campsite and you do hear the traffic all the time. This bothered my brother more as he was in the field that is nearer to the road. However, all in all this is an extremely good site that is close to lots of beaches and places of interest.

Very friendly owners well kept fields. No shop on site and local garage expensive with limited stock. toilet block very clean but only 2 showers in both blocks so you might have a wait. The Chiverton arms pub is a 5 minute walk around the corner and is very nice, the food is very good and but too dear. The site is a good base to travel around Cornwall due to its central location. Can be noisy with the A30 near by and a local road running at the side of the site. Will be going back in a few years with kids.
