4 nights over bank holiday 23rd -26th. Great site, very clean and very well run. Out side pool heated to around 22oc with no night time cover so if you’re not use to a outside pool it will feel cold when you first get in but persevere its like the sea - once your in your body will adjust and it will feel like a warm bath. A nice pub just out side the site with reasonable food at a Reasonable price, very good for us because we had left all cooking utensils behind. Once again a great site

Brilliant camp site, owners really helpful and friendly, facilities really clean, nice swimming pool, location is great for most areas in Kent.
Lots of families were there with children and seemed to be having a good time
Went to pub next to campsite and had a nice evening meal.
Will definitely be returning again in the future.
Showers were 20 pence for 4 minutes which was plenty of time to have a shower never had to wait for a shower

We booked last minute for a trial run with our new tent. I booked over the phone and was given excellent directions to the site by the lady on the phone. On arrival we were given a list of do's and don'ts which I found helpful as it has been years since I've been camping and never with young kids. Shown to our pitch by a man on a cool little scooter!
We found the site very clean and well maintained. The pitch we had was on a slight slope but nothing too bad. The toilets were spotless, and I mean spotless. The showers were again clean and easy to use (20p's at the ready) The pool (main reason I picked the site) was excellent, clean and safe, albeit a little chilly. We were given a list of local pubs that sold food too which helped especially when you don't know the area at all!
The most important thing for us was did the kids enjoy it, yes they loved it. They made friends with the other kids within the 1st hour of being there, helped of course by the fact they were all playing in the pool, they had loads of room to run around and access to a play area (a bit basic but again very safe, nothing to really hurt themselves on).
We didn't use any of the camp facilities like washing up area etc as we only stayed 1 night and ate out.
We visited canterbury cathedral which was a 10 minute drive and lovely but rather expensive (£25 for family ticket)
Would I camp there again? Absolutley
Would I recommend? Yes
I guess you pay a little more because it had the pool but for us it was all about the children!

We booked a last minute getaway and were delighted to find availability and a beautiful little haven. We arrived at the caravan at midnight and were very pleased that the owners had been very accommodating with our late arrival and the caravan was spotlessly clean. The site is very well maintained, spotless and the outdoor pool. An added bonus is no dogs allowed on the site and no smoking.
The surrounding areas such as Canterbury are beautiful. The site is very secluded amongst lots of countryside. The owners and the maintenance guy are very friendly and very helpful with anything you might need.
We have to say it has to be the nicest site we have been on.
Would definitely return.

Yew Tree Park is in a great location and has large pitches. There are great views over the surrounding countryside and it is very quiet with no road noise. There is a 20p charge for the showers for 4 mins so you have to be organised. Electric, water and waste disposal are all easily accessible. We didn't try the pool as it had just been filled and was freezing cold but I can imagine it would be lovely on a warm summer's day. It's a good base for touring.

We have returned from another visit to Yew Tree Park as we love the area as there are so many places of interest to visit within easy reach from this site.
The owners are friendly and helpful and we have always found the site to be well maintained, clean and quiet. We mostly use a serviced pitch and these are roomy and have plenty of space for your car as well. We have also stayed in one of the brick built apartments in the past and this was very clean and well equipped.
Our daughter loves the play park where she often meets a friend to play with and she loves the swimming pool as well.
On each visit we have always found that the toilets and showers are kept very clean regardless of the weather. We were also pleased that the showers were all upgraded last season and we found that there was plenty of hot water and 4 minutes was enough time to shower and wash hair (although you can put in more coins if you want longer. ) We also make use of the washing up and the freezer room and the washing/drying facilities can be handy too.
There is a pub just outside the site which serves good food and also has a small takeaway menu as well.
Overall this is a great site in good location for getting around the east of Kent and we will be definitely going back again.

We stayed here as a family.
It is a very well maintained site with lovely guests.
The owners were friendly and attentive.
The showers cost 20p and on average mine cost 40p but you do get a lovely shower for this! They were clean and the bathroom areas were lovely.
There is a lovely pool, however, this was NOT heated. It was absolutely freezing you could NOT use it which was such a shame as we booked it for the nice heated pool.
It is in a very beautiful area of Kent.
There is no shop on site. The nearest is about a ten minute drive away.
The playground area was for very young children - under 4 years.

A lovely weeks stay with plenty of walking and cycling both from the site and nearby. Pool was a godsend, which the children were mad enough to go in every day.
Canterbury is closer to 5 miles (not 2 miles) away and is well worth a visit. Also, as Dover is only 30 mins away, we did a day shopping in France (£25 return) as we returned on a Sunday when we were there on a cycling tour.
Pitches are well laid out (had electrics) and the site was clean and well maintained.
Only have two small gripes (which didn’t spoil the stay!):
- having to struggle to find enough 20p for showers, especially considering the nightly pitch cost, for a family of five (solved after a quick visit to the change desk in a games arcade)
- the sink taps turn off as you stop pressing them down, making washing hands after being to the loo rather hard without filling the sink
Looking forward to a return trip.

This superb small, well-equipped and well-run site is ideally situated for exploring all areas of Kent. The site is approx two miles from Canterbury city centre yet it is set in, and overlooks, quiet stunning Kent countryside. It is on a quiet B-road which we found neither particularly busy nor noisy.
On arrival the owner and the caretaker were really friendly, helpful and informative about every aspect of the site and surrounding area.
Pitches are well set out, generous and have a degree of privacy and shelter by way of well-maintained hedges; the majority being flat or very gently sloping. For the small community of people, there are plenty of WCs, hot showers (20p token for four mins) and washing up facilities which are always maticulously clean and tidy whatever the time of day.
The added attraction of the heated swimming pool (15m x 10m; 0. 76m-1. 2m deep) is fantastic for kids and adults alike and open from 8. 30am-8. 30pm. There is also a small kids play area and ample room to play games, etc, around the site.
There is a superb farmshop in Lower Hadres (about half-a-mile away), open seven days a week, selling a range of meats, fruit, veg, dairy and other produce (too much to list here!). The nearest supermarket is a Sainsbury's Local with larger ones on the outskirts of the city centre.
The closest pubs, neither of which we visited, are the The Chequers (next to the site) and The Granville (approx 1/4 mile away towards Canterbury) both of which have set opening hours and serve food.
There is an efficient and extremely cheap park-and-ride bus service very nearby into Canterbury city centre costing £2. 50 for all-day parking and return bus travel for up to five people. The city centre is very cultured and has a good mix of large high street and quaint independent shops and cafes and restaurants.
Dover Castle (40 mins away) is a great day out but get there early to ensure you have time to see every bit of it and France for the day is a must as it is so quick, convenient and cheap (£30 return for a car and four passengers with P&O). Wonderful Whitstable (30 mins), with its working harbour, quaint shops, cafes and restaurants, reminded me of Padstow but better.
There are also extensive foot and bridle paths directly from the campsite into the countryside.
If I have one gripe - there are no recycling facilities (or did not appear to be any) on the campsite. Other than that, this site is a real find - a real gem - which I thoroughly recommend. We certainly WILL return :o)

Very nice site with protection through hedges from the weather and to offer a less open field feel to the site, the toilet facilities were clean however this is were value for money is not good. Didn't mind spending 20p for a shower the 4 mins was adequate to wash my hair however the cubicles were too small with no where to put clothes neither was it to easy dress once the shower was over as the floor got wet. There were no plug sockets just a 20p hairdryer which got very hot it took 60p to dry my hair, (and burn my hand) as we were in a tent with no electtirc hook up this was my only option. I haven't been to a site without sockets before. The other problem with the bathroom was no privacy in the sinks so it was shower or was in public, don't like that.
Liked the fact the children could play with balls less keen on the fact they seemed to like the space in front of our tent. Didn't use the pool as felt the weather not good enough and would have had to wash and dry hair same issue as above.
The freezer access was helpful shame no small shop on site but Sainsurys local was convenient. Information about local shops was limited and the Sainsburys local or Waitrose not mentioned and both closer than going right into Canterbury to the bigger supermarkets.
Visited Howletts and Port Lympe the later not as good as the first as all animals seemed to be hidden and very hilly. Rye intersting small town as was Whitstable for oysters and really good fish and chips from the habour shop.
Overall happy with the site apart from the shower block.
