We stayed at the site with our folding camper whilst visiting relatives in the area. Bob and Norma cannot do enough to help you enjoy your visit and have a wealth of local knowledge. All the facilities are kept spotlessly clean in fact the whole of the site is immaculate. There are lovely walks in the area around the nearby reservoirs. We will certainly visit again.

Fantastic site. Norma & Bob run this site so well. They are very friendly and helpful. Opened earlier this year so all facilities were excellent. We were given a choice of hard standing pitch with 16amp electric hook up.
Great walks from the site and an excellent Pub just 10 minutes walk away. Only stayed 1 night and unfortunately this was a Monday so no restaurants open and had to drive to one. However 'we will be back'. Bob tells me he is doing lots more work on the site this winter ready for next year. Thank you to you both.

We stayed in the camping pods last weekend and I really can't recommend this site enough. Beautiful location, clean, tidy, warm and friendly.
Lovely walks and a nice pub, but what really makes this site are Bob and Norma who are such kind and generous people, I have never felt so welcome in a campsite or hotel anywhere in the world. Thank you to both of you and we will see you next year!

Just returned from our second visit to this site, Norma and Bob are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. Toilets, Showers, are Excellent. There is a small kitchen with sink hot water, kettle and a washing machine, Wonderful walks round the site, Pubs and shops and takeaways within walking distance. This is our favourite local site by far. As its only 15 minutes from home.

A wonderful little site with fantastic facilities. We arrived late one evening after escaping a very poor site nearby. A lovely welcome from the owners, everything clean and tidy. The children played in the little stream close by. Not a site for party animals (luckily) so we would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a traditional gem!

We stayed on this wonderful little site in April, we were one of Norma and Bob's first customers and stayed in the pods. As mentioned previously, absolutely nothing is too much trouble for Bob and Norma - they really do look after you (they even took some of our son's wet clothes up to their house and dried them for us !).
There are some wonderful walks around the reservoirs, although the kids objected when I took them on a steeper hill than the map suggested !
The toilet block is always spotless and the showers are great.
It is also really close to a Metrolink tram station from where you can get into Manchester city centre if reuiqred and we enjoyed the food we got from the butchers in the town for our barbecue. All in all, a great site and we do intend going back soon.

We spent 3 nights here with our little dog. Norma & Bob have to be the nicest folk ever, I really don't think you would find 2 nicer people and nothing is too much trouble for them. We were made to feel very welcome and Bob often asked if we were ok while setting up or if we needed anything we were to just ask. The gate key fob was £20 deposit and this allowed us to come and go as we wanted. Norma explained all about the local tram service and we used this to get into Manchester. The site was spotless clean, the showers were good and hot. A small kitchen area was available for washing up with a kettle and washing machine. Dog walks were lovely with waterfalls and wildlife. I would go back if there was availability but I feel this little gem is going to be very popular and will become very busy so we may not get the chance too.

Found this Site by Chance on this Site, its only 13 miles from Home so really Local for us. When we arrived we were Greeted By Norma and Bob, what a lovely Couple. The Site is New, Toilet and Showers are lovely, there is a Kitchen with Kettle sink and Running water there is also a Washer. The Site is really nice with Beautiful Scenery. We did lots of walking with our Dogs. The Bulls Head Pub is near they sell lovely Meals ( we did not try this time)we just sat outside with a drink. The Site is near to Shaw where there are shops and Asda. Norma and Bob are going to Improve the Site more for next year. This is the Best Local Site for us and we are going to Return soon.

After passing the site many times last year, we were delighted to see it had opened.
We stayed end of June and what a fantastic time we had.
Norma and Bob are the friendliest people you Gould ever meet.
The site is beautiful, toilets, showers and kitchen absolutely spotless
And the free showers were brill.
We went as strangers and left as friends, as Norma and Bob
Made is feel so welcome.
They work tirelessly to maintain the site and it definitely shows.
Can't wait to go back

Just spent 3 nights at this new site and what a warm welcome we received from owners Norma and Bob. They could not have been more helpful.
Only been opened a few weeks and they work tirelessly all day to make your stay a pleasant one. They have plans to extend and improve the site, but we had no complaints at all.
Toilet blockwith high spec fittings, immaculate. Disabled wet room and separate showers with plenty of room. Cleaned constantly. A separate utility / kitchen for washing up and making a hot drink ect.
Hard standing pitches, camping pods with electric, tent area. Communal fire pit / barbi area ( with free wood / logs )
Lovely walk around site along stream with water falls and plenty of wild life.
Plenty of walks off site to local reservoirs ( map available from office )
Local pubs and take aways,
Short drive to Shaw large shopping area, Bury and Hollingworth Lake.
Going back as soon as we can.
