We liked this site because it was friendly and small without all the noisy facilities like a shop or bar. It was small but clean and tidy; the views were good and the owner friendly and helpful. A very chatty lady.

We were nervous about the fact that although the facilities were very nice and modern the toilets and showers were in together (more of a wetroom) and there were only 3 - one ladies, 1 gents and a third for disabled people.

We worried that if we needed the loo and someone was having a shower then it could be a problem, or if we were showering that a queue could be forming outside, but although the site was quite full we didn't actually encounter a problem - probably because most of the units were motor homes with their own facilities.

10 stars isn’t enough for this site! This is our 2nd year staying at tolcarne.

For us it is a home away from home. The toilet facilities are clean and spacious and the kitchen is well equipped for those little things that you forget. Diane is lovely and will go above and beyond for you to make your stay special.

We have a 5 year old who loves it - don’t let the lack of play area put you off! Our son loves just being outside exploring and making his own fun. Dog friendly too with an adjoining field to give the dogs a run in. Really don’t know where other sites get their prices from - this site is very reasonably priced for a well looked after and pleasant site.

We love this site - a peaceful haven to get away from it all!

We have purchased a campervan conversion and wanted somewhere local to try it out for one night. The reviews were good so decided to come here (about two miles from home).

The campsite is very clean and tidy, and also very peaceful. The owners are very helpful and friendly and they were very keen to ensure our stay was enjoyable. We didn't have a hookup lead with us and they very kindly lent us one for the duration of our stay.

The toilet/shower block was clean and tidy, and was also very warm, which was a blessing on a very cold and windy November night. All amenities are close at hand.

There is only one male and one female toilet/shower so it could get very busy in the height of summer, but out of the main season, it shouldn't be a problem.

There are facilities for the disabled. Good hook up points and water supplies. We would certainly come here again.

Had a great night at tolcarne we went to the site to check it out for a stay in october as they are open all year, we liked it so much that we stayed the night instead of going back to the campsite we were already booked in at,

The owners are very friendly you find yourself a pitch and they pop and see you later on, the showers are very clean and tidy.

There are great views from the campsite and great tv reception, its very peaceful and great value for money we will be going back very soon.

Very pleasant weekend. We cycled into Truro and explored around the area.

Pitches are level and the shower block has to be the best I have ever found. Grass nicely cut. Excellent value for money. Hook up was available but we did not need it.

Someone commented that it got busy in the high season. That has to be the norm for Cornwall.

Stayed 4 nights in early July, had been given a pitch number when booking, which we found had our name/reserved on it. The pitches with electric are level, have space for awning and car and easy to manoeuvre into.

The campsite has a good picturesque view, and is far enough from the A30 to be quiet. Lanes leading to campsite are single track, usual for this area. Only about 5 miles from Truro, and on right side for park and ride(£2 per adult).

Toilet block is quite new, well looked after and clean. There is only one ladies, one gents and one disabled loo each with shower combined, which is perfect when quiet, but during busy times will be interesting. Cost per night is £13 for caravan, 2 people and electric, which is great value for money. Storage is also cheapest I've seen.

The owner is very friendly, lets you settle in before taking payment, and would definitely stay again. There are no play areas for children and although a there's a horse paddock adjacent, there are no feeding signs, hence I have rated child friendliness as N/A.
