The owners, Pete & Sue - great couple - took over this site about 3 years ago. It is immaculate.

12 level hard-standings with grass at side. The showers were excellent, each having a large changing area. There is a bar on site with comfy sofas, pool table, darts, TV, which Pete opens most evenings - all with covid safety in mind at moment. In nice weather you can sit outside.

Bus stops outside gate with very good service (Beccles, Southwold, Lowestoft etc. ). Morrisons, Aldi and other stores about a 10/15 minute walk or you can cycle along path/cycle path (or catch a bus). The road is busy but didn't really notice much noise on site. Beach within walking distance.

On top of site fee, you pay for any electric used, this is charged at cost and reasonable, but if you prefer to use gas then you're not paying for something you don't use. Free wi-fi.

Friendly chickens :))

One of the best sites we've stayed on and will return.

What a gorgeous place to stay. Owners are polite, friendly and always around if you need them.

Site is well kept with lovely hard standings and grass for awnings. The showers and toilets are immaculate the cleaning regime is second to none.

There is a washing machine and tumble dryer and washing up facilities.

The bar is lovely for a nice quiet drink. There is a pool table, darts and jukebox.

Having stayed on site for 10 days we really didn't want to leave.

Suffice to say we will be back later on in the year.

The dog friendly beach is about a 5 min drive or 20 mins walk to Kessingland.

This has to be one of the best sites we have ever stayed on in 12 years of caravanning.

Great facilities - beautifully kept toilet and showers. Bar on site which we didn't try but wished we had. Great hosts.

Location fab for days out in Suffolk and Norfolk.

If it was nearer to the beach it would have been perfect.

Liked the newly refurbed toilet block. Immaculately clean facilities. Very friendly owners. Neat tidy pitches. Had nice drink in the mini pub. Would use again. Walking distance to beach and supermarket.

Some noise from road.

Just spent a lovely long weekend here, Rang on the off chance the day before the May bank holiday. 12 hard standing pitches with metered EHU (unused refunded) Very friendly host Billy. Well kept clean site. We had a few beers in the bar with the other campers and a good time was had by all. 0. 5 miles to Morrisons and 0. 9 miles to the beach through Heathland Beach site down the public footpath, there is some road noise as you would expect being next to the A12, as previously mentioned there are bus stops outside that go into Lowestoft or Southwold. A highly recommended site, we will return.

This site does accept motorhomes (there were 7 there this weekend)

This site was a bit of a mixed bag for me.

Cash only (didn't know beforehand);

Very flat site with beautiful-looking buildings, but the facilities, which were perfectly sufficient for the number of pitches, were only in one part of it. One loo, urinal and shower (with screen) in gents side, two loos and one shower (not disabled-friendly) (with curtain) in ladies.

No cleaning regime apparent, shower and sink not regularly cleaned, floors not swept and shower curtain very dirty, there was a shag pile shower mat that looked like it hadn't seen the washing machine for some time; bins in ladies' loos not emptied during the whole of our stay, no paper towels or hand dryer, just a towel for general use (very rarely changed - took my own), toilet brushes. Ugh! Inhabited cobwebs everywhere. Lights on timer, so if you 'go' in the dark, or use the loo without a window, take a torch as the lights go out after about 10 mins, until someone opens a door. No designated disabled facilities. Washing machine: ensure you put at least £1 in it for a proper cycle (the sign just says 50 for 30 mins but it isn't a full cycle).

All pitches were spacious but I suggest avoiding pitch 11 (where we were). Strip of grass for awning was only just wide enough, but loads of room at back. Electric was metered, and we used £18 in 11 nights. Biggest issue for us with the pitch was that when we chose it, we thought that the 2 vans alongside were in storage as they were very close to each other and to pitch 11, so thought it would be fine, however we subsequently discovered that they were occupied! This must surely be against licensing regulations. Also, alongside these vans was the bin area, under wooden roofing, where most days the site owner would open and rummage through every bag of rubbish and burn it in a drum! We got used to it but thought it very odd, and potentially dangerous. There is a cute little bar that opened Thursday and Friday evenings 4pm to 8pm, but was mainly frequented by owner's friends who turned up, had a few drinks and left. Didn't see a sign that said 'licensed to sell. '? Food is no longer available nor eggs for sale, despite the signs on the wall in the block. Some pitches are occupied by workers (including the one next to us in 'storage') but they weren't a problem.

The road noise was quite bad, although we don't tend to be too bothered by it, but one evening it sounded like some vehicles were using the road as a race track between roundabouts.

It took us ages to get out of the site when we left as the traffic was non-stop, ended up turning left and going up to a roundabout in order to get on the right side of the road (not the site's fault, obviously).

In conclusion, I'm not trying to put anyone off, just pointing out some things that I felt needed mentioning. If you're not bothered about facilities or you use your own, then I'm sure you'll be pleased. If we were in the area again, we would consider using the site, however I would certainly avoid pitch 11!

As previous reviewer, well laid out site with hard standing. Morrison store a 5 minute walk away, although the site is on the main A12 there is a lot of traffic, a foot path goes all the way, dogs are allowed, but you need to take the car to get them to a dog walk. We drove to Pakefield Promenade where you can walk along the beach. Costs a £1 for 90 minutes parking.

On site you have wc and showers, ladies and gents, there is a washing machine and dryer too,

A very nice guy owns the site Billy Carr around if you need him.

The electric is on meter you buy from owner who puts it on a card then into your meter, any electric not used when you leave you are refunded the money.

There is a small bar on site, as a non drinker never went in, but as this is only 12 pitch site adults only I should imagine it to be cozy.

Would recommend it if you want to be near Lowestoft or even Yarmouth, and you don't mind a bit of traffic noise.

Had a wonderful weekend here at this very well maintained site. Hard standing pitches, showers and toilets. Open all year. Adults only and takes dogs (no extra charge). 12 pitches with electric. The owner lives on site and is so helpful and friendly. It has a small bar and does food. He even opened the bar specially for us! You can walk to McDonalds, the beach, a Morrisons and a retail park. There is a bus stop outside. Pontins is just down the road and you can get a day pass. The site is beautifully kept. Highly recommended.
