This is a fantastic site. I arrived quite early and was still greeted warmly. I was given the option of choosing my pitch too. There is lots of picnic benches on site which can be dragged closer to your tent if you get there first. The shower block was lovely and shower was good. Both mens and ladies showers take 20p now and there is also a hairdryer in the ladies, 20p again. For me it was the added advantage of a gang of ducks that come over every morning, who are extremely friendly. They tried to go into our tent on the last day, which was hilarious. But if you need to get rid of them, just try and pick them up to give them a cuddle and they soon run a mile. The reception also has a small restaurant attached, which has a coke machine outside, which was great! There is a post office, pharmacy, garage, chip shop and shops within easy walking distance. We will be going back again and again. If not to see the ducks if nothing else. Oh, watch out for the midgies in summer, take repellent and plenty of it!

A nice site if dry, if not a quagmire. Toilets adequate but could do with upgrading. Nice scenery one pub, plenty shops for supplies, ok for a short stop off.

September 2004 Small adequate site, handy if you are travelling through. Very odd system ladies shower takes 1 x 20p and Gents 2 x 10p which is just annoying as they didn't tell me this at reception and showers weren't too clean. There was only one other tent so it was very quiet.
If you stay here, go visit Loch Shin to see leaping salmon. We went about 6.30 at night when the visitors centre had closed which meant we had place to ourselves and I was so chuffed to see the salmon leap, it is amazing.

May 2004 Small very friendly family run site in the village main street but very peaceful. Toilet and shower block, CDP and fresh water point. Crofters restaurant at the site entrance is run by the same family. They serve breakfasts, snacks and main meals with a good range of wines and beers. Open from 8:00 to 20:00. Can recommend the fruit wines.
