My kids and I and our friends stayed in Marlie at the beginning of the school holidays.
We thought it was in a great location for visiting Dymchurch and the surrounding areas.
The pitches themselves were in good condition. They were flat and fields well laid out.
We were there at a very busy time and although the fields were busy, the services didn't seem to be straining.
However, the site itself needed a little TLC and needed some better resourcing. The staff that were there did a wonderful job - there was just not enough of them. There was one chap working in the restaurant for instance who was rushed off his feet partially because of the way the restaurant 'worked' but also because he seemed the only soul there. This lead to quite some waiting and queuing and a bit of bad customer vibe.
Overall the site itself was a great little site - they just need to sort themselves out a little.

When we arrived at this campsite it was very very busy. We like peace and quiet. However we found it delightful. The toilet block was immaculate. The swimming pool looked popular. There was plenty for young children to do. A great safe play area. There is a wildlife centre outside the camp which is great for children and adults. There was lots to explore. The campsite had its own mini railway station (12 gauge I think)which connected with a mainline station. This site was quiet at night, so all in all a good all rounder. The sea front is quite a walk so not great for kids, but the mini railway reasonable cost.

This site was in a nice location for exploring the area, weather was good which helps. The toilets were clean and showers had plenty of hot water. The whole tent/caravan area was not well maintained the grass was about 6' in height in some places. The pitch we were allocated was next to two very old caravans both up for sale felt hemmed in with my tent sandwich between and the view wasn't the best I had experienced. I am going to sound old now but music coming from all directions when your trying to relax isn't great I could not believe it when someone got out an amp on a 10ft high stand! Noise was minimal after dark though. The pool is very small for such a large site and as it was busy there was a wait of upto an hour. Would not go back to this site and recommend those people who want a bit of R and R not to bother

First impressions were ok. Then it started to get worse.
No signs for any fire points, scary I did find them after a while but couldn't open the box for some reason.
Packed in on unmarked pitches, my neighbours ended up driving, tripping over my guy ropes. Tents in places were less than 1meter from each other.
The single Toilet block was clean and tidy, a new complete re-vamp last year just needs some snagging done. The men's toilet only had 4 sit down cubicles, no where near enough for the number of people on this site, I was told by site staff they were expecting 230 booked pitches for this weekend. There were I think 6 showers again clean, lots of hot water, but two seemed to be continuously locked. Queues continuously for the toilets, doesn't normally happen in the mens - and showers at the peak times.
The wash up area was again clean and recently revamped, washer, dryers in there also. Pity the plumber couldn't work out which tap to connect the hot and cold to on the four sinks for the whole site.
Site staff, book in staff were friendly, although the site ground manager seemed didn't really want to tell me where to pitch. The cleaners on the site were very friendly and helpful.
Site security, well first night the loud music went on till 2:30, why ? Security were informed and spoke to the campers involved, why did nothing happen till 2:30. I was told in the morning that if it happens again they would be asked to leave.
Indoor Pool, again new development for the site, nice size for a house pool, two staff members on duty who again were friendly, well that did happen while you were waiting to have a dip. Max of 26 people from memory, and that was plenty of people. But it worked ok and people were not too miffed when they saw how small the pool was.
Club house / entertainment, if that is what you call it, I have two children 6 and 10, they normally really enjoy the dancing, games that these sites have to offer but this sites entertainment was at very least poor. The entertainment area was far to small, with not enough seating or tables as these were also being used for food.
This site seems to cater for the larger, loud, groups of people who don't mind if they are disturbing their neighbours.
On site shop opening hours were not long enough, but its only a short drive or a ten min walk to the local shops, plenty of restaurants, butchers, and large supermarket.
Children's play area was ok. The crazy golf wasn't at all crazy.
Plenty of places to go and see, the highlight has to be the miniature railway who for this bank holiday weekend was running only steam. It's great to see these loco's still running.
Very cheap, but not value for money, as the weekend was a waste. This site might work midweek out of season. Or if you hire one of the on site caravans. I have given a low score for the customer service due to the lack of commitment for sorting out the noise issues and the thoughts on how to pack us all in.
This site 'could' be great with some thought to marking out pitches, extra site facilities, toilets, showers, wash up and fire safety.

We stayed her for 4 nights during the summer holidays although the site was busy we found a nice spot tucked away in the corner near the opening to the overflow field.
There are fresh water taps and bins located every now and then so wherever you pitch you don't need to walk half a mile to get your water which is good. The bins were emptied every day too so no nasty smells.
The warden was such a lovely friendly man who was also great with the kids he would whizz round every now and then on his quad bike.
Pitch size was great we pretty much was able to use as much as liked (within reason) and had lots of space to play ball games etc. The location is great although you do need to drive to get anywhere but that didn't bother us.
Now for the negatives: So disappointed that the whole time we were here kids didn't get to use the pool, 1st day we were informed that it was shut due to the pump failing, second day it was shut as someone had been sick in there and when we went to use it the next day it shut an hour earlier than advertised so very disappointed kiddies.
Shower and toilets although were plenty and hot, wasn't cleaned very much floor constantly muddy even though good weather toilet roll on floor in toilets every time went in there that was the ladies the mens were so poor that I wouldn't let my boys in there instead they would come in to the ladies with me.
Surrounding area brilliant we found so much to do with the kids lots of nice sandy beaches around. I would return just maybe not in the height of season.

Another lovely site friendly reception area shown to our pitch which was massive new toilet\shower facilities great clean and well stocked with toilet roll and soap.
Little animals around site (in runs and cages) has a club house which was ok especially if you like people watching. Small pool (but I believe they are building a new one) fine for the children.
Nice little park. Little shop stocked with essentials - but sainsbury very close. Quite a busy site with lots of car traffic.

Positives: This site ideally sited for the coast although some walk from the nearest beach, the site has potential with a good club house and a small swimming pool.
Large open fields with no marked pitches. A good field for walking dogs available and small animals to keep young children amused, play ground is small but seemed safe to use.
Sainsburys less than 5 mins away and provides the normal.
Negatives: This site clearly has not been up graded for some time and would seem to fall victim to the steady increase of large corporate investment in statics and holiday homes.
The site has recently up graded its shower and toilet block but during our stay we waited 4 days before the toilets were cleaned after we complained. We were also not informed until we asked having set up that there was no washing up facilities as they had not been completed.
The foul waste point was a man hole cover in the middle of an un protected area, no signs or wash tap simply open and pour. Bin areas although checked daily were not swept or cleaned.
This site has loads of potential but we felt that the site lacked the atmosphere and presence that you would expect or find at more established sites.

We loved this site! if you want total peace, children that are seen but not heard don't go here! but if you want a place your kids can have fun, kick a ball and you can sit back and relax this is perfect! the staff are friendly and very helpful, the toilets and showers were spotless and smelled lovely! there's a launderette which is always handy! the food served at the bar was gorgeous and a good price (if you fancy a treat). Oh and it did rain one night all night but the next morning there was barely any mud so very good drainage! me and my 3 kids agreed we are definitely going back here again, it was just great! very chilled compared to some 'holiday parks' but just the right balance between relaxing and fun for a nice family break!

Stayed for 3 nights, toilets and showers are in cabins but were always clean. Showers were hot but the shower heads splayed out which meant you had to keeps moving around to get wet! most showers had hooks for your towels etc but I know at least one in the ladies did not. The mens showers had a few with broken locks. 5 showers in each block, and I only had to queue once and only for a few mins. Toilets had mirrors and plug points for hairdryers etc.
Club was a bit rubbish and when we went in all the tables were full, so we went in the bar nextdoor, which had pool table and sofas. Did not go in the pool so cannot comment. The kids enjoyed the games room, and played Air Hockey and Pool.
2 lovely pubs 5 mins up the road, we walked down and had a carvery (resonably priced)in the beer garden then went to the one nearer to the site as it had a beer garden with swings etc for the kids and had a drink. This pub does food as well but we did not try it, but I think both are a better price than the one in the campsite. The static caravans felt more residential than holiday homes and I would not hire one of these. Alot of earwigs!

I phoned this park the day I was going to travel up, the lady on the reception was very polite and directions were given. On arriving the reception was easy to find and staff very helpful. We wanted a pitch with electric but being mr forgetful I forgot my electric hook up and this park do not sell or hire them out, so we went without electric ! This wasn't a problem as we only wanted two nights.
The shop is poorly stocked and very expensive and was shut at 5 PM
Luckily their is a sainsburys 3-4 mins down the road (by car) so I went out and bought a bbq and stocked up !
The pitches are spot on! We had no restrictions on size and neither did anyone else. The ground is flat and well maintained.
Their is water points all over the place so water is very easy to get.
The kids wanted to check out the pool so we did. A small reception area with nobody to check your passes so we went straight into the changing rooms got changed and into the pool.
And that is about it really! Nothing glamorous just a little pool. It seemed clean but very dated. But it kept the kids happy for a hour! (an hour is enough as it got very crowded)!
After the pool we went the toilet and shower blocks, first impressions >> they are dated but once in they are very clean and the showers are hot! On our stay the shower toilets and machine room were open 24hours.
The second night we decided to go to the pub/club house. Well Its a typical cheesy club house if you ask me!
Entertainment was bearable, drinks were reasonably priced and plenty of seating. Outside their is a mini park for the kids and plenty of tables.
I cant really comment on the surrounding area as we didn't venture out apart from going to the beach.
We found this park really good value for money it was clean very spacious and friendly. And I would go back again and recommend to family / friends.
