June 2004 Had a great time here...There's a rocky path leading up to the site so drive carefully especially if towing something. The tent pitches are on a bit of a slope but its manageable. Toilets and showers (20p) are within easy walking distance, quite old fashioned but clean. Take your own hairdryer if you use one. Excellent walks off the site, we visited Corbridge, Allendale and Blanchland when we were there...All well worth a look. Site owners very friendly and helpful.
WATCH OUT FOR MIDGIES......BE PREPARED

June 2004 Lovely walks for bird lovers from this site, across moors which are important breeding grounds (dogs must be on lead). Also very pretty, historic villages including Blanchland and Corbridge. Campsite facilities are adequate: plenty of toilets; only two showers which are 20p for two minutes; decent laundry and washing up area. Ground is hard and rocky, but perfectly level. Lots of caravans around and only space for 7 tents, surrounded by trees and fields. Long walk to nearest pub - 35 minutes. Staff and long term caravan owners are helpful. Overall, a reasonable, quiet site with plenty to do nearby.
