Just had a week here and despite the weather not being at it's best we had a really great time.

It cost £28 per night including an Awning and Electric.

The site is immaculate, the toilets/shower block are lovely & clean. There's Disabled facilities too.

There's new washing up facilities, as well as a washing machines/dryer and a freezer to freeze ice packs for free. Also an electric socket to charge up your phone for 50p for 5 minutes.

There is a little park for the kids - mine loved it.

They don't mind kids (& adults) on bikes, but there's not really space for a footy match.

The lady who runs/owns? the site is just lovely and couldn't be more helpful if she tried.

There are some permanent tourers (mainly Hobbies) but somehow this didn''t stop everyone being in a holiday mood.

The campsite is about 1. 6 miles from Abersoch town centre (well, I say town but it's more a little village), however, the campsite is up a hill (hence sea view!), so it's a walk down to the village then a walk back up, which I have to say, we didn't do once, because we have 5 & 7 yr old boys who can't/won't walk in a straight line and for much of the walk, there's no pavement, and lot's of cars/caravans going back & forth.

Parking is very expensive everywhere, £5/£6 for the day, but we found you can drive (down a very steep hill) less than 2 miles away to Hell's Mouth beach which is nothing less than spectacular, park for free and have hours of free fun.

Other beaches: Whistling Sands/Aberdaron.

We could not have chosen a better time to come to a wonderful campsite as this. Really good weather and a campsite that you could not fault.

The facilities on the site are excellent and still being improved further, the only criticism I have is about the 'Brown Waste' facility, that needs attention.

The playground although a little dated, is adequate to keep children occupied whilst tea is being prepared.

Plenty of Pubs and Restaurants in the area, although several miles to travel to reach a largish type supermarket and fuel station.

The area itself is fantastic, with plenty of beaches and scenic countryside, that on occasions take your breath away.

We will certainly be returning back to this site, hopefully on a more permanent basis.

Just returned from this site, and had brilliant weather!

The site is in a good location close to Abersoch town and to the beach, good views, clean toilets and showers, and recycle area.

As you drive through Abersoch heading to the campsite the first sign for the caravan site you see is a little misleading as underneath the sign it says the road is not suitable for caravans, we pulled over and had to phone for further directions.

We were in the smaller field, the ground is a very uneven and on a slope, so you need your chocs and a bit of patience. The site is not lit at night, you will need a torch.

The owners of the site are strict about keeping dogs on a lead and the dog walk is out of the site down the lane. Overall not a bad site.

This is a lovely site situated just over a mile from the centre of Abersoch, an easy 20 minute walk.

The owners were very friendly and helpful- ringing round several camping shops on our behalf to find one that was open on a Sunday.

The site is extremely tidy with recycling facilities and the cleanest toilets and showers I've ever seen on a campsite.

We would definitely recommend this campsite and this lovely corner of Wales, I'm sure we'll be back!

We visited the site for 5 days in early June, and hit the jackpot for weather. It was stunning, hot and blue sky. The whole time there. Hotter than Madrid, Athens and Rome at the time!

After a picnic pitstop on the way, at Red Wharf Bay in Anglesey, this was a huge relief. It was mist and drizzle there.

The site is in a lovely spot, about 1.2 miles from Abersoch, and is easily walkable. The campsite is largely a caravan site, with a small spot at the bottom for tents (unsuitable for caravans?), which means the view there isn't as good. The view at Bryn Bach campsite is much better, but its another 1 mile away from Abersoch. Swings and roundabouts, I guess.

There was a very good atmosphere there, though, and has top notch washing facilities. Too nice for a campsite! What happened to roughing it??!

An absolute must is a walk in in the evening from Deucoch to the village of Llanengan. Go out the main entrance, turn left and then take first right. This narrow country lane with great views is to Llanengan,.7 mile from the campsite. There is a pub there called the Sun Inn. An utter gem. Child friendly all day. Robinsons beers, plus guests (?). Sit outside. Great food. Landlord is a character. They do a vgc quiz. Cannot remember which night. What more do you want? Take torches for walking back! Essential.

A major pity is the Deucoch Hotel pub, down in Sarn, now closed and private dwelling. Closed in early 2006 I believe. Should never have been allowed. Some things should be sacrosanct!

Abersoch is a bit of a magnet to the north Cheshire, nouveau-riche Jontys, Nigels and Huberts, out sailing and bragging about their latest 6 week holiday in the Maldives. Its a nice place though.

The St Tudwals, and The Vaynol are two great pubs in Abersoch, and child friendly all day. Both reccomended. However, the same cannot be said about The Sandpiper. Its totally child - unfriendly, and has recently changed from being a restaurant, I believe. The area is a family holiday orientated area, for goodness sake! People with children also want to get out in the evening too. The Sandpiper won't survive with that attitude.

Supermarket at the top of Abersoch.

Also of merit: Aberdaron. Great beach. Watch the RAF Hawks from Valley in Anglesey strutting their stuff overhead. Another hawk seen there was a Black Kite, I am reliably informed. Never seen one before.

The Cliffs Inn in Morfa Nefyn is great to eat in the evening. Stunning views.

An essential visit is Portmeirion, near Portmadog. Its the designer Italian village built between the 1920's and 1960's and famously used for TV's The Prisoner, with Patrick McGoohan between 1966 and 1967. Stunning place, but go in good weather. Half price admission after 3.30PM.

Love the whole area, and will be back.

Not the first time and not the last time we will be camping at Deucochs.

The friendly and helpful owners keep the shower and toilet block exceptionally clean at all times. Constant hot water in the showers and included in your overnight charge. No fumbling for 20p pieces. There is ample space for washing up, a laundry, freezer (for blocks), public telephone and small playground for the kids.

The site is in Sarn Bach about 1 mile from Abersoch, only a couple of minutes in the car to the local Spar for supplies or, if you are feeling energetic, about a 20 minute walk in to town. Handy for both Abersoch main beach, Porth Ceiriad or Hell's Mouth beaches.

Well worth a stay at Deucochs if you are going to Abersoch.

This is an excellent site with consistantly hot toilets / showers which are open all hours. It has nice surroundings with nice owners that help you out if you have any problems at all. It has a park which is good for the kids. It's location is good as it's in a quiet spot about 1 mile away from abersoch village. I will definitly be booking this site again in the near time future if I can get a booking!
