Ok. Not enough toilet facilities. Facilities quite basic.

Paths dusty and field waterlogged in places- thankfully it was dry weather.

Wish more pitches had electric- there were unused electric stands whilst we were there which was a bit of a shame.

This campsite is located in a beautiful part of Cheshire, close to many attractions such as the Ice-cream Farm, Beeston castle, the Candle Workshops, the Crocky Trail and Chester itself.

We spent 4 nights here, and were very impressed. The owners are friendly and helpful. Due to Covid there is currently no campsite shop, but Tattenhall village isn't far away with shops, cafés and pubs.

The site is small, with several electric pitches, as well as some glamping pods and bell tents.

We were on a non-electric pitch which was more than large enough for our family tent. The pitch wasn't particularly level, but we managed fine. When we visited, the weather was quite wet and the camping field was a bit boggy in places; however our pitch wasn't affected by this.

The toilet and shower block in the main field was great. At the moment (Covid) you can only use the showers in the main block (there is a separate temporary toilet block in the back field). The showers were nice and hot and kept very clean. The toilets in the temporary block were also cleaned regularly and were fine.

There isn't a playground on site, but our daughter didn't miss it. There's plenty of room for children to play in the field.

You can hire fire-pits to use in the evening, which we loved.

This is an excellent site, with friendly, very helpful staff and all safety rules on site are really good.

The facilities were very clean, toilets and showers were spotless.

The hot water at the pot washing area was very hot, usually its warm at best.

The ice cream factory around the corner whilst still under lock down was doing drive through orders.

Lots to do locally in the area.

Not on a busy road so quiet for traffice but it is a wrokign farm.

On the negatives, there isnt a lot to do on site for the kids

We stayed over a busy half term weekend, we had booked in advance, I understand that the site does accept walk ins however it is a small site and may not have room so prebooking is recommended.

The site is level with well kept pitches, most have electric hook up.

The site is about a mile away from the village that has shops pubs and cafes, other attractions nearby include an ice cream farm, the crocky trail adventure park, Beeston castle, and Chester zoo is only 20minutes away.

The new toilet/shower block is compact but well maintained and cleaned regularly.

Fire pits are available for that campfire experience.

The owners are very friendly and helpful, the site is on a working dairy farm so dogs must be kept on a lead at all times.

All in all a great little site.

The area was a bit scruffy but all in all it was quite nice. The facilities weren't the best but the location was good and the area was really quite pretty. The best thing was that they allow for fires which was the thing that attracted me.
