Lovely location. Dark and quiet. Lots of paths and walks through the fens with wild flowers, rushes, wetlands etc.
Site is very much in tune with and integrated with nature. Saw owls on the nearby telegraph poles. We were met in the reception building by an actual human who gave us as much information as we needed.
The toilet block is large and warm and clean with plenty of facilities. Electric was very close to the pitch.
Fridge was available and nice and cold.
Pitches are dead flat.
Handy for Ely, Cambridge on the train, etc. Would absolutely return.

Excellent site. Great reception with clear guidance to pitches and covid-safe use of the facilities.
Clean toilets and lovely hot showers.
Fire pits on each pitch an added bonus.
Will definitely return.

Just a wonderful site, spacious, wild, encouring bird and wildlife, quiet, very comfortable. No cars on site. Not a rotary drier or fanciful furniture in sight!
The facilities are adequate, good and clean.
Not row upon row of caravans and MotorHome’s, just a few! mixed with tents and glamps. We will return.

We loved this site, the pitches were generous in size and were surrounded by lovely meadow flowers. Although we did not use our fire pit, we might on another visit.
Toilet/shower block was spotless almost all of the time and the washing up area was great.
Lots of wild life and the birds sang almost all the time, lovely walk into Ely and lots of interest in the area.
Covid still taken seriously after 19/07/21 which was good.

The site is well laid out in pretty grassy pitches. Each pitch was generous and the facilities were spotlessly clean.
Situated within easy access of lovely walks and short trip to Ely by car.
We loved our stay here and will be visiting again.
Thank you Mad Hatters

Absolutely wonderful.
The layout was fantastic with separate pitches with wild flowers in between. You didn't get people walking past your tent and it looked so lovely.
Pitches are a generous size, and each has a fire pit.
The showers/loos are new and everyone in our party commented on how great they were - and they were clean.
Location - easy to get to, lovely situation and yet only a few mins drive into a little town if anything needed. Walks along the river were lovely plus plenty of public footpaths for walking.
The owners were incredibly helpful.
This is one of our top camping sites we have ever stayed in.

Lovely little campsite, where we found the facilities to be very clean (Covid taken very seriously) and the staff friendly.
Ely is a very pretty town nearby.
We'd stop again.

We stayed here for 3 nights in late July 2020, still under some Covid restrictions. The staff are friendly and welcoming. They have put in place Covid controls that seem effective and not too onerous.
The original site is nicely laid out, with most of the pitches quite distanced from one another in a sort of wild flower garden with paths mown through it.
When we were there the site had expanded into the bottom field, where we were situated. Not quite as special but flat enough and well-drained (it poured with rain).
It was mostly young families and the site is quite strict about being quiet after 10pm, which was fine by us. 10 minutes to Ely Cathedral, long walks in the fens, wild swimming in the Ouse.
We will be back.
Thanks Mad Hatter!
