We booked for three nights but left after just two.
The touring site slopes in two directions which made levelling almost impossible. Luckily there were plenty of empty pitches so a friendly receptionist allowed us to move to the top of the field. There is no landscaping - just long rows of pegs marking the pitches.
We were looking forward to being able to do the advertised walk across country to the beach but that would have involved going through the field adjoining the site with bulls in it, so we didn't risk it.
The beach car park has a 6ft height barrier on it so no driving to the beach in our campervan either.
We were charged £8.55 for the dog but no dog walk is provided. We walked him round a storage field but this was not shown on the site map as a designated facility. What was the charge for??
The shower/toilet facilities were basic and dated. The gent's showers had frosted windows which looked-out onto the washing-up sinks. Weird!
The Safari Tents looked like something out of a prison camp and one of the luxury glamping tents blew down while we were there.
My opinion is that the site is more interested in selling static caravans than looking after the touring customers.

2nd visit and booked for next year so that's says it all really
Positives
Great semi rural location easy access to Newquay and surrounding areas
Premium pitches great, flat and well tended and fully serviced
Toilets and showers 2 block central locations well sticked and tended, Family showers excellent
Crazy golf 30p, 2 parks, warm outdoor heated pool
Good security, night wardens patrol park to prevent noise
Tidy site filled with beautiful flowers very safe for children
Great coarse fishing lakes
Negatives
Shop bare, opens until 11am and then again at 5pm ???? considering location they could have a more varied choice, restock quicker and extend opening hours
Games room and tv room need updating and could provide a great base for teenagers /older children
Pool small and very shallow can get over subscribed
With add ons ie dogs electric etc works out at nearly £50 a night peak season
Tent grass pitches cramped and on top of each other sloping
Need more bins

Excellent! Premium pitches excellent great size with elec hook up, Fab adventure play park for children locked at 9pm so no screeches late at night. Good shower blocks dated but clean a few queues early morning but faired well for peak season. Great for children so good we have booked again for next year teenager loved it and its a great location for exploring the area there's a few tweaks I think that could help as stated below but overall for a family holiday its a 10/10 excellent pool and surrounding landscaped gardens
Very dark around the site at night virtually no lights at all a few discreet courtesy road lights wouldn't go a miss.
Shop could be better stocked very bare shelves and it could be a gold mine
An updated TV room would be good its very gloomy and bare in there a teenage chill out room would be a great investment
Bigger games room please !

Just back from a 7 night stay at Trevella.
The site was very busy with a lot of tents on the Main Field. When we arrived it had been raining very heavy and there was a lot of Mud on the sides of the Road etc.
Staff where excellent and very helpful
The Shower & Toilet blocks where good overall. The water pressure wasn't very good. And they sometime run cold, but not to bad. Due to the site being so busy, the showers and toilets did get a bit dirty. But they did there best as it did Rain a couple of days - Rain & Grass = Mud !
The Pool was OK. Kids used it once. Very busy.
The crazy golf is a bargain at 30p.
We didn't eat on site but the Cafe did look very nice.
The TV room could do with an update.
Crantock beach was fantastic. Only a 2 min trip by Car. - Be warned - if the Sun is shining the Car parks will be full by lunch time.
Overall - it was a good site and we would return. Maybe at a less busy time of year.

*2 Adults, 2 children (aged 12&10, Hi Gear Khalahari 8 tent plus porch.
Stayed on pitch number 134 - an end pitch with plenty of room however at the bottom of a very sloped camping field! Pitch & site seemed to drain well even after rain did not get boggy. Pegs went in great. This is a large site (without entertainment - yey!) but did not feel crammed in and definitley has the family feel to it.
SITE LOCATION: One word; beautiful! For us, the site itself is wonderfully located. Five minutes drive from the fabulous town of Newquay with the most stunning beaches ever, on the road to the equally beautiful Crantock, without being 'in the thick of it'. Lovely views reaching towards Bodmin Moor. It did get quite blustery at times though! Not far to drive to Morrisons or the other supermarkets (Aldi, Sainsbury's, Asda, Tesco Express)in Newquay.
SITE FACILITIES:
Great on site shop selling anything you may need/forgot but was expensive.
Take away or eat in cafe with a lovely patio area.
Small games room including pool table (£1/game - thought this was a tad expensive) and a few arcade games.
TV room - small outbuilding with small television & plastic garden chairs to sit on.
Crazy golf (30p/person - very fairly priced).
'Heated' pool - cold, very cold! The pool is locked in a beautiful suntrap surrounded with benches & sunloungers. You are given a code on arrival to access the pool area which is open 8am-7pm and as there is no lifeguard under 15's need to be accompanied by an adult.
Fishing lakes - saw lots of people fishing, nice little walk around, lots of rabbits!
Washing machines (£4/load which included powder & conditioner), dryers 20p/3mins (we found a full load cost about £1. 20).
TOILETS/SHOWERS: These we feel were the only let down of the site. Okay, so it was peak season and there was no additional charge for showers but they were not clean and there was nothing to clean up after yourself with.
The sanitary bins in the ladies were always full. A mop/brush would be helpful but not supplied and the shower heads were fixed so you couldn't even give the area a rinse off.
The push button showers lasted less than 30 seconds. The family rooms were ok (had a shower, toilet and sink in each) but felt would be better if they had 2 showers in each family room so you could shower 2 children or shower yourself and your child - they were plenty big enough for 2.
Again the family rooms were lacking any form of being able to clean up after yourself so you were always showering with grass cuttings and/or the previous users soap suds - flip flops/crocs a must for the toilets/showers.
Although these facilities were poor especially in comparison to the rest of the site which was hoovered and to be honest the least clean we have been to, it would not put us off visiting the site again.
VALUE FOR MONEY: We booked early in the year when there was an early booking offer. Cost us £470 for two weeks for the four of us with electric which was a little above average for the area. Slightly on the expensive side if you're booking full price.
CUSTOMER SERVICE: Lovely, helpful friendly staff. Even though we couldn't check in until 3pm, we arrived at 1pm and were allowed to pitch. Brilliant information available in Reception area including things to do, places to go, bus times, taxi numbers etc.
CHILD FRIENDLINESS: Really, really child friendly. The park was full of families and our kids made lots of friends. Older kids playpark which is a decent sized 'fort' type of park including zip wire. This opened 9am-9pm. Younger children's park with swings, slides, playhouses etc. This was not locked up as the older kids park was so could be accessed at any time.
All in all we had a wonderful time at Trevella and even after two weeks did not want to leave :) We would book again and would have given the site 10/10 had the showers & toilet facilities been better cared for.

Trevella with the weather lovely. Nice facilities with very well kept grounds, more colour than the flower show.
Swimming pool adequate size with nice secure surrounds, toilet area nice out of busy times can get a little messy.
Shop and restaurant provide all the necessary supplies.
Walk to the beach along footpath is enjoyable just watch for tide times, only take 25 mins and some stunning scenery
If your going enjoy.

Just back from a brilliant 2 weeks here and we would definitely go back.
The site is quite big but well spread out so you have plenty room. The pool is nice if a bit small but nice and warm and a sun trap.
The shop sells anything and everything you'll need. Crazy golf at 30p each (bargain)kept kids quite for a while most days while we got bbq going.
The site is ideally located for Newquay and all its lovely beaches. There is a beach close by but NOT walking distance with even the smallest amount of gear to carry.
There are a couple of nice but pricey pubs in Crantock village within walking distance but the road is unlit at night if you have children (or too much cider down you).
All in all a great place for a great holiday.

Just returned from our first camping trip, a weeks holiday at Travella with a 9 year old and an 11 year old. Arrived at 12. 15 and even though check-in was supposed to be after 3pm, we were able to pitch our tent as soon as we had booked in, which was great after such a long journey. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the gardens were kept beautiful. At the busiest time of the year, we expected it to be a bit noisy but it was lovely and peaceful and even all the children kept the noise to a minimum. Lovely scenery across the hills from the campsite and a short distance to Crantock beach. Kids enjoyed the outdoor pool and the adventure play area. Showers were free and clean. Hairdryer in the showerblock is also free of charge. I would definitely return to Travella and would recommend it to others. Newquay is a dump but luckily there are loads of places to visit around Crantock. Fun had by all. Great holiday.

We stayed here for a week at the start of the school holidays and cannot say a bad thing about the site it was fantastic, staff very helpful, toilet block always clean & plenty of family shower units.
On site takeaway changed its menu daily & were very friendly. Pool was heated & clean. Crazy golf entertained us for ages & very reasonably priced for pocket money spenders. Shop well stocked.
Washing machines come with built in wash powder & conditioner - very handy.
Beach (Crantock) is a pleasant 15 min walk away across fields or a 10 min bike ride down very narrow roads! the beach is a must its ace.
Bus stop outside site entrance does not run to timetable so stick around if you think you've missed it, it'll turn up.
Would definitely go back & recommend.

Just returned from a weeks stay at Trevella park. Mixed feelings really, Location is good and park is very clean but the tent pitches are sloping some more than others but very spacious (ignore Trevellas booking form when they say about max size of unit we seen some units much larger than the max size) like our camping neighbours who had used every inch of there pitch. Toilet and showers were fine and clean
Some have more room than others, Our nearest block (field D)was a bit small not quite enough room to get dressed in but had the best showers these are normal on off power showers and all the other had push buttons that only last about 30 seconds a push. Swimming pool was fine.
Crantock is very nice with a very good beach about 10 to 15 mins walk from site (watch out for cows on the path)but check tidal times before going this way. All in all had a good time but don't think I would go to Trevella again.
