I went to this site on Saturday for what should have been a week. On arrival we were shown to our pitch the owners knew we have a twin axle, full awning and an annex. We couldn't fit our outfit on.
We were shown to another pitch which look a little bigger. We put the caravan on which was over hanging the pitch by about 5 feet at the rear and there still was no room for the awning, annex and you couldn't put the car at the front because the road is so narrow. If you put the annex at the front my son would have been in the road. The owner ask me if everything was okay and I said no I cant fit my outfit on or my car he said ' put the car behind the caravan ' if I had I would never have been able to get it out again. I asked him to come and have a look but he didn't show up.
The pitch we had was down by the seasonal pitchers. They had a party going all day long with music and beer drinking. Then early evening out came the karaoke till late.
The toilets and showers needed to be updated. The showers are long but very very narrow and you couldn't really shower a child in there either.
One thing I thought was unusual the drinking water tap and grey waste point was the same tap area.
The pitches are small, narrow and not very deep. The pitches have about 7ft grass section if that, between each pitch. There are tents also next to the toilet block. There were cars taking up pitches some two on a pitch because there's no car park. The road around the site is very narrow and awkward as well.
This site has two really narrow pitches for RVs I don't know how they would get to them though. Its not kitted out for twin axle caravans at all. Its more geared up for the seasonal pitchers

Having been to this site before and agree to a certain extent with other reviews. However this site has undergone a massive revamp during the past year and there are now hardstandings, new access roads and complete new electric hook ups plus an additional camping field.
Clive and Cathy are still the same friendly couple and really are putting a lot of work on this site at the same time keeping their prices competitive which cannot be said of a lot of sites these days.
This site has caravan storage facilities, seasonal pitches and touring pitches, the only down side is that some of the seasonals, although friendly, think they own the site.

Although we did not stay at this site we bought a van that was stored there over the winter. Clive & Cathy could not have been more helpful to us, as we had never owned a caravan before we asked lots of stupid questions! nothing seemed to worry them. The facilities that we used to clean van etc were fantastic. The site has won several awards and so they deserve it. I would highly recommend this site to anyone wanting to come down to somerset for a holiday.

Lots to do in the area for all ages and interests. This site is well placed for most things. This site was our first experience of caravanning. The help and advice we received from the Owner was brilliant. The friendliness was very welcome. The shop was open lovely long hours and everything we needed was available. It was a good job we went to this site first because our next trip was a weekend in Pembroke and the Owner was a total nightmare as was his camp. If we had based our caravanning experience on that Pembroke site we would have probably sold up and never gone again. Thank goodness for lovely people and sites like The Fairways. If you have a complaint, tell the Owner there and then and he'll sort it - don't wait 'til you get home and moan afterwards.

This is a nice site and the owners are extremely helpful, however we did have a couple of grumbles. The pitches are not very clear and everyone was well packed in, but our main complaint was that the cut off time for noise appeared to be midnight which we felt was too late for a family site and on our first night the noise from a group of teens went on till well past 1am. The toilets were clean but to keep the showers running you have to keep your hand pressed onto the button the whole time which is a pain when you are trying to shampoo your hair, I know its water saving but 2 minutes would have been more helpful.

My favourite campsite - we go back often. Toilets very clean, free hot showers. Really friendly people run the site (Clive & Cathy) its not too big so the owners get to know you calling you by name each time you meet. Fully stocked shop with an amazing array of bits and pieces for caravans and tents so if you forget something youll probably find it in the shop. Site owners dont put up with any messing around either, so yout dont get louts or people who cause disturbances which means your holiday doesnt get spoilt. Far enough away from town to be quiet and away from it, but near enough (2 miles) for supermarkets and swimming pools. Also close to Brean beech and Clarks shopping centre. I reccommend this site to all my friends - in fact were all going away together there later this year.

Pitches badly organised - too many squeezed into too small a space (it was a Bank Holiday but even so, this was like nothing I'd ever seen before!) Site owner very helpful but his shop had so much stock all over the place, it looked like a junk shop - which is a shame as there was a good selection of useful bits and bobs for the caravan and spares etc. Seasonal stored caravans are kept all around the outside edge of the site, which makes the place look really unsightly, as some of the vans have seen better days. Kids seem to use the shower blocks as a play room - sand everywhere - and the hot water frequently ran out. Shower buttons had to be pressed in continuously - difficult to wash with one hand! All this said, we still had a good time. Site is conveniently situated and quite reasonably priced, compared to some.

We went to the site for a weekend break for our daughters birthday, nice clean site and well stocked shop. Downside was that the kids room was old and worn and it was off limits on the Saturday due to season stayer's having a party. Bit disappointed with this fact.

We expected a lot from this site after looking at Brochure and description on this web site. We at least expected the toilet block to be to a high standard as it had won "loo of the year " award. The toilet blocks were in need of a good clean and needed refurbishing.
Pitches reasonable but the general condition of the site was very poor Well stocked shop but it seemed that there was too much stuff filling evry corner and made the shop look untidy. Site is well positioned for a overnight stop (just off J23 M5) Play equipment a bit old and in need of attention.
