Have been to this site every early summer for the past 4 years, so there is your recommendation.
The best thing about the site is the location - right at the foot of the Long Mynd and a few minute stroll from two pubs in the village.

Oscar and Pam genuinely nice couple.
Normal expected glitches with toilets or showers fixed quickly and efficiently
Helped me out by putting my trousers and top in her washer after I unfortunately fell in the stream by the house !
Will definitely return for further walks.

Excellent site in a superb location with clean facilities. Easy walking distance to two pubs and lovely walks on Long Mynd. We've been camping for 30+ years and we seek out sites like this.
No kids play area, no underfloor heated toilet block with piped music, just good, clean, basic facilities,
Plenty of space for the children to explore and very accommodating and friendly site owners.
Will certainly return.

This is a wonderful campsite run by a lovely family. The location is picturesque with lovely walks straight from the campsite.
The facilities are fantastic and they had put excellent measures in for Covid - reducing how many could be in the toilets, cordoned off sections in the washing up and lots of hand sanitizer everywhere.
The campsite is very quiet and peaceful. We went for an afternoon out to Ludlow and also a visit to Wenlock Edge, both about a 20 - 30 minute drive. It was fully booked but didn't feel crowded.
We had a wonderful couple of nights and hope to visit again soon.

This is a very nice site situated at the entrance to a steep-sided valley at the base of the Long Mynd. It is very sheltered and surprisingly secluded despite it's proximity to the village of Little Stretton.
The site is flat though I get the impression the ground may be susceptible to being waterlogged. The view is pretty good from the site and the sound of wind in the trees as well as the sound of the river are always appreciated.
The facilities, like many others have stated, are quite simple, yet well maintained and clean. Their main issues are likely to be that the showers will be draughty in colder/wetter weather, and the area for washing up is uncovered (again not ideal in wet conditions).
The owners are very friendly and are the only ones I've ever met that will address you by first name - you'll certainly feel welcome visiting this site. Walking access to the Long Mynd is easy and plentiful, and the nearby town of Church Stretton will have more or less everything you could need from both local stores and a chain-store supermarket.
I would certainly recommend and would certainly visit again if I am ever in the area.

Great location, great on site catering. Basic facilities but adequate.
Pitching was pretty random, was getting v busy towards bank holiday weekend and tents were going up anywhere.
V popular (so not v quiet) but loved the position and catering and log bags for fires on their steel trays.

Location, location, location! A beautiful site nestled in a little valley on the slopes of the Long Mynd.
Slightly rustic toilets and showers but no queues that we saw. Two public footpaths leading into the hills and only a 5 minute drive from Carding Mill Valley.
5 minutes to the nearest pub which served a nice pint of Guinness and lovely food. We'll be back!
