This site is wonderful the facilities are very clean plenty of hot water both in shower room and the washing up area. The owner of the site is very pleasant and very helpful nothing not to much trouble for him. The site is flat and very peaceful we enjoyed our four days and will be returning very soon, there is a pub at the bottom of the drive called the engine and tender which is very pleasant and friendly also at the bottom of the lane a ten min walk nice and slow is another pub called the Kangaroo which serve meals and have a garden we had food there and highly recommend trying it out. There is no shop but a ten min drive into craven arms is a supermarket.

We had a three night stay here with friends. Its a quiet and basic site (1 rather cramped coin operated shower in each side, hand basins, toilets, chemical disposal point) and its just behind a very good pub that serves excellent food! There is a train line nearby but it is hardly in use, so there was no noise disturbance. There were no marked out pitches, and only 4 or 5 other tents there, so there was loads of space, but I don't know what it might be like during the high holiday season. Village shop was a short walk away. Good location for walking, visiting places of historic interest ( e.G. Ludlow castle). Nothing for children on site so may be not the best place for families, though I think the pub had a play area (we don't have kids so its not a priority for us to pay attention to such details!). It was okay because it suited our purposes (countyside walking, castles, food and good beer!) Site owner was very laid back - but then everyone was well behaved so there was no need for him to get miffed! We would definitely go back if we were camping in this area, but probably only for a short break, or on our way further afield.
