We have been sighted on this site for 4 seasons and love it. Pet friendly, child friendly and lots of things to do in and around the site.
Our daughter (10) would rather be here than at home! very friendly people and owners and staff are great. Would highly recommend to anyone for a short break or if you are looking to site your van this is somewhere you cant go far wrong :)lots of improvements on the site over the last few years and the site is growing all the time.
Lovely little local village amenities including petrol garage and Brecon town 10 minutes down the road. Builth Wells, Llandrindod Wells are all within travelling distance as is Hay on Wye.

I booked this site using a 25 foot motorhome. This site advertised 16 m/home + 6 touring pitches, there were only 6 pitches available all under trees. There was 1 water point and no access for a motorhome to connect up, and there were no drains to empty waste water. The hill to go down to the field was steep and the road surface poor not suitable for motorhomes. Site lighting u/s, only around reception was ok! toilets weren't very clean, nor chemical waste point. But the weather was great and our grand daughter made lots of friend's.

We camped here this weekend and had a wonderful 2 days. All toilet/cleaning/shower facilities although basic were immaculately clean. Warm water was available in the showers only slight complaint was light was on auto timer and I had to step out of the shower to reactivate it on Saturday Night.
Camping pitch was level and beside a nice river/ stream, approx 300 yards from all facilities.
We had entertainment in the evenings at the clubhouse which was warm friendly and welcoming. Bar rates were more than reasonable (£4.40 for pint of bow and a double malibu) and they also do cheap bar snacks. Toilets at the clubhouse were clean and well kept.
All in all I was very impressed with the site and very impressed with the pitch price (£20 for very large tent) and will be returning again shortly.

Arrived at site previously booked 5 pitches together months ago, when we got there the sites had been let so we weren't together. Toilets situated at top of hill had to climb 2 levels with a bad leg, not recommended if not very fit. Toilets were dirty for 2 days until complaints acted on. Other set toilets are owned by residents and locked, only other is at reception, closed at night. Showers luke warm, at night no lights to camping area. Site very packed together, no camp shop, small cafe limited food. Swimming pool good but jacuzzi extra in pool area. Camping area sandy as if previously flooded and filled in, soggy when rains. This site requires new toilet block for touring campers at who are not fully catered for, if you don't book a electric pitch then you are really out of the way in the games field.

Visited this site on recommendation, and I must say I was rather disappointed. The site is mainly made up of seasonal caravan pitches, with a few statics and touring pitches available. The swimming pool was broken down, the toilet block is due for refurbishment, and the showers are small.
The bar - restaurant, gym, children's play-room, are all in need of some maintenance, and the pitch sizes are very small. Fresh water and waste water drains are not clearly marked, and could be mistaken for either. Vehicle movement by some was far too fast, and there should be more control and signs to slow them down. There would not be room for a caravan, an awning and a vehicle on the pitches in the area we were allocated.
I would not rate this at £20 per night, I have seen a lot better for less money!

Following on from our stay earlier this year the site owners replied to us that the noise was from a wedding party in Talgarth so this was a one off and out of their hands. Also they said that they did deal with the noisy children and had spoken to their parents that night. We had returned to this site in September and it was once again a lovely site and well worth returning too. We certainly enjoyed our return and did not have any of the problems from our earlier visit. They are very friendly and it is a well run site and we shall be returning in 2007. (Great gym too)

Just returned from a weekend at Riverside with 2 adults and 2 children aged 4 and 9 years. Had a new 3 bed tent which of course I hadn't tried out prior to my trip, had got as far as the poles in all the right places but even with the help of a 9 year old wasn't able to actually erect it. Decided to wait for my friend to arrive who was unfortunately lost somewhere in Birmingham. Then 'as if by magic' Mike from reception appeared and kindly offered to help. After about 30 mins, we had the tent up with just the bedrooms to go. This is probably one of the most friendly campsites I have visited, the staff were particularly helpful and really appeared to enjoy themselves. The toilets and showers were cleaned twice a day. The pool had a kids session in the morning and aftenoon with floats / infaltables etc. The views were pretty spectacular. My only criticism would be that we arrived on Friday and there wasn't any milk in the shop until Sunday. There is a village a short drive away with a co-op which has most things you might need. I would happily visit Riverside again.

A welcoming friendly site here with very helpful staff. We were sited in Ivors field at the bottom of the camp site and had a hard standing there with electric. Beautiful views of the mountains from the top of the site. It had a small shop, lovely restaurant and a cosy friendly bar overlooking the pool area and a snooker table . Upstairs they have a gym with an excellent multi station, treadmills rower etc. Although you pay extra for this it was well worth it. The swimming pool had its own lifeguard at certain times so it was easy to leave your kids swim while you have a work out or relax in the bar. They have extra activities too for the kids (over the weekend) The shower and toilet block are a little out dated and the shower area was rather small but the shower itself was very good and the block was always kept clean. This is a friendly site and one we would return to as a general feeling. However on the downside there was not much patrolling of the site at night and some kids were running around after 12 midnight shouting and playing around which spoilt our stay. Also we were unfortunate to stay over the weekend when there was a disco in Talgarth on the Saturday night. The noise went on until 1am and you could clearly hear the DJ and the pounding of the base from the music. To be fair this was not to do with the site but we cannot understand how music that loud could be played so late in the night. We have emailed the site but they have not responded as yet. I would however say that other than the Saturday night we had a great stay there and would consider a return trip but would make sure that there are no events on in Talgarth if we were to stay over the weekend again.

Firstly the welcome that you get from the staff at Riverside International does prove that there is indeed a welcome in the hillsides. Our first impressions of this site was that it is a popular - some might even say congested - one with people returning here time after time or keeping their caravans here on a permanent basis. There is only one shower/toilet block and given the number of people catered for this does seem a bit strange but there was never a queue for either the shower or the toilet so it seems to do the job. Each shower cubicle is divided into sections for washing and drying, separated off by a shower curtain. In the ladies there was no problem with any of the showers but in the gents it seemed a bit hit and miss as to whether you got a curtain or a lock to your door! Also again, the ladies seemed to be very clean but the gents cleanliness depended on what time you went in there. There is a large field for the children to play in with a few climbing frames to keep them occupied. There is a shop together with a restaurant and as mentioned a lounge bar which has a pool table together with a dart board. Nightly entertainment was provided during our stay. Overall I enjoyed the stay although given we had no electric hook up, I did think it was slightly expensive.

We visited this site in June 05 and found the reception staff very helpful and friendly. In our group there were four families, plus three dogs. Three families were arriving on the Friday and the other arriving on the Saturday.
Seventeen people, three dogs, three tents, and throw into this mix a gazebo, We also wanted to be together with the tents placed in a small group around the gazebo.
The staff was brilliant they suggested that we pitch the tents in the over-spill field (Called Ninian Park). This was just to our liking. A Level field with a small river running around the perimeter. A dog walking area, and a football pitch in the middle of this field. There is a play area ie swings climbing frame etc for children.
Toilet facilities, and especially showers were well kept with scented flowers placed in the toilets making a nice touch.
We found a clean modern Club House with pleasant surroundings, There is small shop for those forgotten essentials an indoor swimming pool, Jacuzzi, Small Gym, pool table in the bar area which serves a good standard of simple meals at reasonable prices.
Bronllys is only a short walk away. In the village there is a Tourist Information Centre The Staff here were went out of their way to ensure we made full use of the facilities within this beautiful part of the world.
Places to visit - Brecon and Hay on Wye historic town’s only a few miles way from the campsite. Kayaks, canoeing and fishing can be found in Glasbury.
An excellent base for exploring the Brecons though and overall we had a brilliant time. We will be returning again to this site in August.
