This is clearly a site catering for static caravans and caravans with permanent stands. The tent/ caravan site are quite small which may explain why the facilities are not meant for large groups. It is one of the noisiest sites we came across so far and we even had a fight breaking out at 1AM between two groups in the permanent stands. Although the toilets are quite a walk away, they do have some temporary toilets next to the tent area, but these are locked during quieter times. We found the toilets very dated but clean. But I think this may be because there were only 4 groups of us camping there for the weekend. The only good points we got from this was that the staff was very helpful and friendly and the location of the park is quite nice.

Dirty toilets and shower facilities that were in the middle of statics so a hike to them (not adequate for children who leave going to the toilet until the last minute). Taps for general use where not in close proximity. Everything costs over and above the initial site fees. Staff were very rude and did not care that the toilets or showers were never cleaned. We spoke to five different sets of people staying there and they all agreed the site was beyond reasonable standards. I Would try to be constructive about this site but it is just not possible.

August 2004 We weren't bothered by any partying, even though it was the weekend of the Brecon Jazz Festival and the site was very busy. It was a lovely flat site for caravans/tents, although a slight incline at one end of the field.
The toilets/shower block could have done with a bit of a clean at times, and the path leading from the tent field needed to be lit at night, and a better surface laid down as it was very muddy during wet weather.

July 2004 pleasant and frendly park with outstanding views the only problem I found was the toilet and shower block were a long way from the touring area.

July 2003 This was an ideal site for my family for weekends being less than an hours drive.
We did have many enjoyable breaks but they obviously haven't cured their noise problem, as our last visit was spoiled by partying until 3AM, we left the site early and was refunded.
If you can get a peaceful weekend this site is ideally placed as it is within walking distance of the lake, pubs and climbing centre.

August 2002 I agree with Jane about the noise at this site. I was camping with my two young children and had to leave because of the loud partying until 3 am, within feet of our tent and in other places on the site. I asked for and received a refund.

August 2002 The surrounding countryside was lovely and there was plenty to occupy us - however we found the site to be very noisy at night. Although it is possible that parties going on until 2am may be unusual and we were just unlucky, the fact that it has been allowed to happen once....
