Firstly I must point out the bridge that you must use to access this site , it is horrendous. Believe me , as I was coming out of there it was that steep that my car struggled to get over it. Take note of this please it's very dangerous in my opinion you have been warned !
The site was ok but the touring field is very poor, it was raining when we arrived and the ground was sodden, ruts and holes full of water. They could so much more with it pitches are pretty level and you do get a lot of space.
Toilets and showers were very clean, but no washing up facilities
Swimming pool and clubhouse I couldn't fault , great cafe and chip shop on site and a well stocked shop, beach nearby also great.
This site could be really good if they sorted the bridge and the field out.

Just back from a good weekend at this camp site. Touring field quite small and fairly basic, could do with levelling it off a bit better. Shower facilities were ok, not the best I've seen but very clean and no where to hang your belongings and no baby changing facilities. Apart from those downsides to the park everything else was great. We had a breakfast in the cafe everyday and were quite reasonably priced, new launderette but quite expensive (have to leave £5 deposit) the clubhouse was the best we have seen by far even better than Haven sites, brand new, very large it was just perfect. The site also had a brand new park which the kids loved and it also has a swimming pool. All in all we had a good weekend and would go back to this site again.

Really enjoyed our stay at sunny sands, excellent facilities on site, from cafe and shop to club house and swimming pool. Great access to beach, ideal for kids. Locals were very friendly and helpful. Facilities on site were in excellent clean condition. Lots to see and do, locally. Barmouth town was a five to ten minute drive away, with lots of shops, bars and cafe's. There was also a fair for the kids and on the beach was donkey rides, trampolines and swings. Really love Barmouth so will be returning.

We got to the park at 10pm and set up and no electric, after half an hour I went to see a very helpful man and was informed that the electric wasn't working so was moved over to another pitch. It was midnight by the time we had a cup of tea. Luckily enough the chippy and cafe didnt close til way after midnight and the chips were nice. The clubhouse was nice, even had an enclosed area for the adults. The shop had basic things you'd need but barmouth isn't too far and has a coop and iceland. My husband loves fishing which was good cos barmouth has two fishing shops.I forgot to mention you have to pay £10 deposit for a key, When we packed up I went to reception to hand in my key and get my deposit back and I thought I was putting the girl out, she was rude. Apart from her all the staff were very helpful. I might go back but I think I might try the other sites in that area first. The touring pitch was small but it was close to everything. one ore thing there is a steep bridge before you enter the site, its ok going in but a pain getting out.

Lovely site, very friendly & clean, close to beach, which is great! there is no childrens park there, so you get children playing football on the touring field, (shame about the touring pitch very basic just in a field with tap water & bins thats it, your toilet waste has to go in the gents toilets have to walk abit away to use showers&toilets, getting into the park is hard to, road very narrow then you come to a bridge which needs to be looked at abit scarey! overall its a lovely place will be going back next year hopefully!

Lovely location, good space between pitches, clean toilets and shower block, great views of mountains and 1 minute walk to fantastic huge, flat, clean and sandy beach. Well stocked shop and friendly clubhouse with reasonable priced drinks and entertainment mainly for children. A clean, safe site, ideal for families with children and friendly and helpful staff.

We have just spent 1 week here. The touring field was of a very low standard. The toilet facilities were not cleaned and the chemical toilet disposal was in the gents (a toilet with no seat). The toilets were not close to the field. We were disgusted with the conditions. The rubbish bins were overflowing and when my children asked at reception if there was a playground they were informed "to go to the beach".

April 2003 small touring area but plenty of space between each hook up. Very good ameinity's for food, shop. The club catered for those with children and those without. The beach was very clean and spacious and flat.A very good all round site and really enjoyed our five days there.
