Just returned from a wonderful jubilee weekend at Bank Farm, despite the weather!
The couple who own the site couldn't be any more friendly and welcoming. We booked quite late, but they were still able to accommodate both ourselves and family members on adjoining pitches.
On arrival we were shown to our pitches and given all the info we needed. The atmosphere was very welcoming and relaxed, including an invitation to jubilee celebrations.
The facilities are a little dated but very clean. It's 50p for a shower, but the owners are on hand with change when needed. There is plenty of hot water and no queuing!
There are numerous water points and the chemical disposal was spotless. We have 3 young children and the playground was also ideal!
Although the site is located on a busy A road, the noise was minimal and getting on/off the site was no headache!
Surrounding area; Supermarket just 5 mins away,
Welshpool is a lovely town to visit. We recommend a scramble through the woods!
And will certainly be returning!

We stayed here for a weekend whilst visiting friends in Welshpool.
The staff were very friendly and the site, although well set out, had a very informal feel to it. The all important toilet block was clean and well appointed.
Being out of town, and feeling quite rural, it is only about 15 mins drive into the centre of Welshpool. Which is handy.
There is also a very good children's play area.
Maybe not a location for a weeks family holiday, but great as a short stop-off.

Stayed here for a family get together, The site is nicely located for visiting the local area, Welshpool is close by. The site is on the smaller side and nice and quiet. The Toilet block is basic but functional, 20p coin meter for shower. There is a mixture of statics, tourers, and Tent pitches. There is also a small park for children and a games room.If you don't cooking there is a pub/restaurant about 10mins walk. The only one down side is it is situated on a rather busy road and exiting the site can be a bit hair raising.

We have just returned from this site after two nights over Easter, It had been raining and the site was very wet underfoot. We were put on the the grass on the approach to reception, the owner helped us level up and supplied a long hook up lead as the box was some distance away.
The site is a mix of of statics and tourers and seemed very friendly especially the owner who could not do enough for us.
A very busy main road bisects the site, there is no pavement to the village but a path has been laid inside the fields so that it safe to walk,
Due to the weather we did not go to pub,but shopped in Morrisons in Welshpool soom 5 miles away.
The toilet block was spotless and there was a laundry and games room, we also spotted some playground items in the wood above the site.
A visit to Harry Tuffins car boot and market, and the steam railway at Welshpool on Sunday ended our visit.
We would like to visit this site again especially if the weather gets better.

We arrived on site, happy enough with what we could see. When we tried at the farm house, no one was there! We phoned the number and got through to the owners, who told us to park on pitch 5, which wouldn't be numbered!
Unsure of if we were in the right pitch, we carried on setting up.
It is a working farm, so not seeing the owners is understandable, but a little money spent on marking out the pitches would have saved worry on our part that we were in the right place.
The shower facilities, although clean, were low pressure. For 50p a time, I would expect a decent quality. A dribble is not worth it!
All in all, a nice site with good views. If you have your own shower facilities, all the better!

We found this campsite on uk campsite as the usual one we use in welshpool was fully booked, but we weren't dissapointed! Quiet apart from the noise from the road but did not stop us enjoying the area, the scenery is really breathtaking and the facilities adequate for what we wanted, clean shower block and wash up area. We dont have kids but there's a play area and football pitch that united a lot of families in a match. The owners greeted us on arrival and showed us to the camping feild and allowed us to pitch were we wanted.
The pub up the road ( the Breidman ) is quite unique! a English looking bar but is a Chinese restaurant ! do not let this put you off though, it was the most amazingly gorgeous Chinese meal myself and my wife have ever eaten ( the cantonese steak was out of this world!)
Our only gripe was the motorbikes which are allowed to be used between 11 and 1, annoying when you want to have a quiet relax by the tent! But in all, a recomended campsite and one we will definetly return to.

Lovely site with one side of road statics the other mainly seasonal tourers. Road noise could be a problem as its rather intrusive but we're used to it so it doesn't bother us - also have to cross the main A458 to get to reception, not nice.one tip - if you're using this site as a stopover turn into the touring area on the left (coming from Shrewsbury) and then walk to reception across the road) Good play area with swings, slide, wendy house and balancing things. Loos good and clean but showers 50p but worked well, washing up area but poor supply of hot water. The Breidden pub is a 5-10min walk from site - does meals but we didn't go so can't advise on that. Good chippy/kebabs at HalfwayHouse coming from Shrewbury direction - 5 min drive away. Shops locally in Welshpool include Morrissons, Somerfield, QuikSave, Spar, Indian - Spice UK highly recommended nr Somerfield and (top of street) chinese - Golden Bamboo. Charlies or Coed y Dinas garden centre has great cafe/rest with kids meals and soft play area by the hour, also camping stuff etc - straight thru lights in town, past Morrissons as if going to Newtown, on the left about a mile. The Flash swimming pool is great for kids as it starts with beach depth area, cafe there too. Would go back as its our local site and would make a good stopover if going further into Wales - not particularly for a full holiday as the road is a nuisance in my opinion.

August 2005 just got back from a 3 night stay, very clean site , showers only 1 for each sex , we had no trouble but when site is full there might be a bit of queueing, they were very clean. Owners very friendly, and most who were camping were very nice people,we were told of a few who didnt like any noise after 9.00pm (God why didnt they stop at home) Site is very well kept, and there is a great fishing pool very close, local pub is a 5 min walk away, there is a little noise from the A458 but at the bottom of the site its not that noticable, all in all we look forward to returning.

August 2004 Quiet site good large pitches with electic hook up. Good location for visiting mid wales. Toilets well presented though only 1 shower (50 p) which did cause some waiting time.
Owner very friendly helped move folding camper. Other campers exstremly friendly. A lot of season pitches.
Site is split in two by the main road which is exstremly busy (But did not cause a problem with noise)
Saturday night was kept awake a little by children playing on the aventure playground but it was quite after 11.00 PM. We were pitched very close to playground .
There is a small play hut by the playground which is a shame because it had been vandalised and what toys are in there have been broken. It would look better if it was empty and a lick of paint.
We paid £10.00 plus £2.00 electricity which I thought was good value in August.
Welshpool is 6 miles away and worth a visit plenty of shops/pubs ECT. Powys castle nearby. Mixed veiws would probably visit again
