Stayed here for 3 nights over an unseasonably warm autumn weekend and found the site basic but more then adequate and very peaceful. The site was busy but there was plenty of room to pitch tent and have privacy. There is a charge for the showers but its only 20p. Only downside is it is a good 30 minus walk up hill from town with no obvious public transport so could be difficult for less mobile persons without transport if they wish to visit town. All in all an excellent site well recommended.

Stayed 5 nights.Small site with friendly welcome.Well laid out and sheltered, handy mobile shop visits every morning at 9.30.Small play area for children.Downsides:only 2 showers for whole site!1 for men,1 for women.20p (not great when family returning from beach). Toilets kept reasonably clean(although theyd seen better days)!Disabled bathroom better served if doubled up as family bathroom as I saw nobody use it. At times very noisy due to traffic (as site right on busy A39).Wouldn't visit site again but may be handy for stopover on longer trip.

September 2005 It is fairly small and very quiet with privacy aided by the division of the land into separate 'cul de sacs' ringed by mature hedging and trees. We only had one neighbour in about 0.2 of an acre !
Well maintained site with very friendly owners. Our 5 year old daughter enjoyed the children's little playground. Definitely our favourite for visiting Minehead and Porlock.

August 2005 Positives: 1) Great location as base for exploring the area. 2) Division of pitch/van areas into small tree lined areas. 3) Mobile shop (09.30 each morning - papers, milk, eggs, bacon etc)
Negatives: 1) Site just off main A39, which can be noisy in early morning and late in evening when noise level of traffic very noticeable. 2) Only 2 showers on whole site (1 each for men and women). 3) Hot water for showers, washing up, use of hair dryer, or iron all cost 20p for each usage. 4) Children's Play Area is very basic.
This is a basic site and not as competively priced as others we have used in the area.

August 2002 On the outskirts of Minehead in the area marked as Bratton on the OS map, so rather a long way from any shops if you are on foot.
A rather small site, divided by hedges into little fields. We happened to choose a night hit by torrential rain - our bit did get waterlogged, but then it was exceptionally wet. Friendly reception, adequate facilities.
