Some nice places to visit locally and some are free though not advertised well.
Would definitely go back to visit the area again, but may check out other campsites.
The pool was empty so can't comment on that. The bar was only open at the weekend but they were friendly enough and it seems entertainment starts now we have left, but it did give my daughter the chance to sing and dance on stage instead.
The laundry room was ok and cleaned our clothes well and was open all night and day.
The games room was ok but we only had a nose.
The ladies toilets were ok and the showers were nice and warm once the water had run for a while, but the floor soon gets wet.
The gents so I am told were not as nice as the ladies.
The playground looked really nice but some of the kids started to pick on our daughter but the parent brought the kids down and made them apologise.
The site has a very slight slope, but is well kept.
It was lovely and quiet, but then it wasn't in season when we went.
The nearest shop (Spar) is about a mile away and has most of what is needed in the way of provisions, but is on the expensive side.
There is a very nice camping shop though on the main road to Cardigan which sells everything that you can think of for camping, from foot pumps to ehu, from gas to cutlery.
We stayed here using the mirror 95p a night vouchers. I'd stay again using the same deal but not if we had to pay the full amount.

We have just returned from Trefach. We originally booked 3 nights at their sister site 'Greenfields' but when we arrived there they tried to squash us into 1 pitch. (We were 2 families with 2 tents and had booked and paid for 2 pitches). They phoned through to Trefach to see if they could accomodate us. We drove another 40 mins to Trefach.
Upon arrival we were told where we could pitch and that was it. We weren't told anything about the site, no leaflet given for any entertainment or about the facilities. They have a very small park for the kids, we encountered a lot of problems with the older children using the park as well, we had 4 young children who spent one night at the park and that was it. The older ones were using foul language around the little ones which frightened them away.
They have a supposed 'heated' pool on site, this was not heated by any means. It has seen better days and the furniture around it was dated and grubby. The 'arcade' had gambling machines and one grabber game which had second hand teddys in it. This room was very grubby and dated.
Now to the toilet/shower block. At first glance these seemed quite reasonable however, from the time we arrived to the time we left, we saw them being 'cleaned' once. The sanitary bins were overflowing on the day we arrived and still hadn't been emptied 2 days later, this was shameful. (When this was mentioned to the owners at the end of our stay, she replied 'I tend to just squash them down rather than empty them'!)
The showers are very dated and in desperate need of a makeover. (We left a day early just so we didn't have to use these!) The toilets were terribly stained with excrement even after they were cleaned and the toilet brushes were a health hazard!
We spoke to the owners on the day that we left and explained why were leaving early, they had no interest whatsoever.
I will definitely not return to this site and would not recommend it to anyone.

Stayed at the site for 2 nights. The couple running the site are very friendly. Weather was great and my son and cousin enjoyed in the play area and looking at the horses in neighbouring fields.
Plenty of hot water in the showers and wash up facilities. Approx 8 miles from Cardigan.

I have just returned from Trefach Holiday Park after 1 week on site. During our stay there the staff were very friendly and the bar/club was a scream. Although we did encounter a bit of wet weather the club did have a log fire which roared through the night which helped us dry out. The kids loved their time at Trefach with the play area and arcade plus the staff had a kids club to keep them entertained.
The situation of the site is superb. Although very out of the way it is central to all the local attractions and major towns.
All in all the site was lovely and in the summer we will definitely be back, especially as the toilets were cleaner than they are at home! lol!

August 2004 We stayed for 9 nights (came home early due to bad weather). The site is very quiet and away from it all (no shop which was not a problem for us as you pass the well-stocked petrol station shop on the way in and out by car, but it would be a very long walk). We found the facilities rather disappointing - due to a rumoured sudden departure of staff the washbasins were not being cleaned or loo rolls replaced every day; there was a timer on the lights in the ladies which made it impossible to shower after dark (especially with reluctant children in tow), although it could be overridden by sticking insulation tape over the switch... The washing up area was provided with an overhanging roof but unfortunately this was very high and short and faced into the prevailing wind, so when it rained (ie most days) we got wet anyway. Having said all that, we did consider moving to other sites in the region but they were busy, waterlogged, didn't have as much room for kids to play near the tents, or just felt rather exposed on top of the cliffs given the bad weather.

November 2002 We visited Trefach in mid-November and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The site is located well away from any roads, so road noise is non-existant. It is well drained, has new washing / toilet / washing up facilities, and very rural outlooks. There is a pub / club on site, but it is well away from the camping area and no intrusive noise was experienced. It really is a countryside experience, with sheep in the adjoining field and the lowing of cattle to lull you to sleep. The site has a field for static caravans, a field for tourers, and a field for tents. There is an outdoor pool open in the summer season. The price for a dome tent, 1 adult & 1 child was £6 per night. The club staff are very welcoming and friendly. I recommend a visit.
Oh, and it didn't rain!
