This site is in a lovely position overlooking a beautiful Pembrokeshire bay, well it is if you are in one of the static caravans, if you are in the touring area you are in a field with no views whatsoever, with the sound of traffic roaring up the lane that runs by the campsite.
The toilet block is run down, with very hot water gushing out of the taps in the basins so that the surrounding area including the floor is always wet - and the overflowing urinal in the gents didn't help! The temperature of the showers however ranged from barely tepid to just hot. They didn't seem to be cleaned very often, there was often sand, mud and grass all over the floor and my husband noticed an old used sticky-plaster lodged on one of the shower heads that stayed there during all our two week stay.
Water, waste-water and chemical toilet disposal was strange. The only fresh water taps we found seemed to be on pitches, as though they were intended as 'service pitches' and so one felt we were trespassing and stealing the water. The chemical toilet emptying was fairly normal - a toilet pan, but this was the only method we found of emptying waste (grey) water as well. This meant that the waste water container (normally very heavy with perhaps a couple of gallons or more of water, needed to be lifted up on to the toilet bowl to empty. You needed to be fit and strong to accomplish this!
I know we usually use caravan club sites so are possibly a bit spoilt by their facilities however I do feel the ones offered by Meadow House are below average, especially for the price.
The playground looked OK, the games room was fine, the laundrette facilities did not include separate spindryer or iron. We went to the clubhouse once, not much atmosphere, a huge screen showing sport dominates. We didn't use the pool, it looked OK if a little small but closed early so was always shut when we got back from days out.
Places visited were Oakwood - brilliant if a bit pricey, Folly Farm - loved the giraffes, Pembroke castle - fantastic. Seal trip from Tenby - mega - expect to get wet!
Tenby is a lovely town with wonderful sandy beach, Buccaneers pub serves great food at reasonable prices but expect to wait 50mins if busy

We had a four night stay here last year, we had the pick of the site as it was quiet when we arrived, the weather previously had been abysmal, but we couldn't have had a better week.
I took my nephews 7 and 8, my mum and my husband, it was our first camping trip!
The site was lovely and clean, with the shower/ toilet block situated not far from where we were pitched.
The water point was also close by, we had a lovely time, the views from the top of the site were fabulous, but this is where the static caravans were situated.
The children's playground was in good condition, and we could watch them from the tent, which was great.
The swimming pool was lovely, and we made use of this on several occasions, although it did close early in the evenings.
We spent most of our time in Tenby, Saundersfoot, and took the boys to Oakwood for the day.
I would definitely return.

Just come back from this site after spending 3 nights. Most of the pitches are hard standing so you need to make sure you have the right pegs we had metal pegs and we had a problem trying to peg down our awning but we only took our porch awning so we managed to do with out. The field was nice and level with water taps at every pitch so we didnt have to go walking for water. You had to empty your waste water in the chemical toilet so dont let it get too full as it was heavy to lift. The toilet and showers were very clean lovely warm showers that were free but there was no soap to wash your hands. There was a small indoor pool which was nice, the club house was a nice size and there was a games room off the bar for the children. There is no shop here but in peak season they do have newspapers and sweets there is a shop about 5 min away at Wisemans bridge which we used. There is a childs play area which has a fence around it overall this is a nice site I would go back again.

We've just spent 3 nights at this site which is located on the hill just outside Wiseman's Bridge. The site consists of six areas of privately owned statics, a camping/caravan area with hook-ups and a partially sloping, grass field for tents. The prices seemed about average with the usual irritating add-on extras. There is a club area and small indoor pool, both very well maintained. There is also a separate games room with soft drinks bar for children which can be accessed from the main club. The children's park is at the top of the tent field and also looked fairly new. The toilet and shower block was adequate and cleaned regularly( shower's never really hot though). We arrived mid week and everything appeared quite quiet. One downside ,there is no shop on site but they will freeze your freezer packs for a token donation to a charity box. The best part of this site was the fact that you can follow a path through the statics and join the Pembrokeshire coastal path turning left for Amroth(20 mins) or right for Wiseman's Bridge(20 mins). The views of the bay from the statics and coastal path are breathtaking. Amroth is the larger coastal village with several pubs selling food and a few small shops and cafes.Oakwood theme Park is about 30 min drive away, Folly farm 20 mins drive and the larger resort of Tenby 25 mins.
