Stayed for 7 nights (end of July)- 2 adults in a tent.
Good location for access to local attractions. It is close enough to walk to The Eden Project. Very quiet site, with hardly any noise during the day or at night. The site is predominantly static caravans with two areas with mainly hard standings for touring caravans and motorhomes. There were about 6 pitches for tents- all sloping to some degree. There is a small shop/reception near the entrance and an adjoining information cabin. There is a large field with some play equipment, a games room with pool table and also a dog walking area.
All pitches appeared to have access to EHU. Water taps, grey water disposal and bins were located opposite the lower touring section along with the washing up area with microwave and freezer, laundry, phone kiosk, family bathroom and ladies and gents toilets/showers. There was a further washing up sink and ladies and gents toilet (no shower) on the upper touring section.
We appreciated the quiet nature of the site, but it did seem a bit soulless, with virtually all of the statics and many of the seasonal caravans unoccupied when we were there. The toilet and shower block needs some attention. It is quite dated and basic, although the showers were hot, but one of the four in the ladies didn’t work at all. It seemed quite damp in the toilet/shower facilities and washing up areas and certainly lacked cleaning. It didn’t look as if it had been cleaned for the whole of the week we stayed.

We stayed here for four nights and had a good time. Located close to the eden project and close enough to go to the gardens of heligan via two buses.
Discounts are given at both these attractions if you go by public transport or walk / cycle. The site is mainly holiday homes or long term caravan pitches and most were empty so we hardly seen a soul.
The showers were hot and had plenty of room to change in and were reasonably clean but a bit dated. The bath room was a bonus though, even if it had several spiders and moths living there. Water was close by and there were recycling bins.
The only thing missing was a drain to empty grey water from a motor home. We did it on a daily basis with a bucket. Staff friendly and helpful and would go back as it was very peaceful

Just spent five days at this campsite and it was great! Would go back again.
There is room for a small number of tents, maybe six, with lots of space for caravans.
The site is very quiet and the toilet block is great and near to the tents. There are four showers with enough room to get dry/changed afterwards. The showers are free and were always hot and very powerful – the best we have ever had while camping.
The facilities are great, plenty of washing up sinks, toilets and showers. There is a microwave, freezer, iron and iron board, washing machine and dryer for clothes. There is also a family bathroom which has very hot water! They do offer baby baths and a separate changing area for babies.
The park itself was quiet, mainly used by mature people. There is a small playground for children and a games room but this was not open while we were there. There is a small shop that has all of the basic in milk, bread, gas etc. Dogs are welcome on a lead and there is a separate area to walk the dogs.
There is a tourist information office which has plenty of leaflets about the surrounding area and things to do. The campsite is near the Eden Project which we walked too, but the walk is along some narrow country lanes. The local pub, the Kings Arms is ¾ of a mile away, again walkable. It serves lovely homemade food and has very friendly staff.
The only small problem with the site was that the toilet block was not cleaned very often, not over the five days we were there. So the sinks had people hair, dried grass and dead insects around it as well as toothpaste stains. The bathroom also needed to have a good clean.

Superbly placed for exploring part of Cornwall that isn't always busy.
Croft Farm is a great site - facilities are good and the mature staff are helpful no matter what you need. I had power problems in our motorhome (something kept tripping) so they loaned me a power-block to get by with.
Amenity block is great and go and use the family bathroom if you can with your Radox and ducky - it's free!
I like this kind of site - everyone feels welcome no matter your unit type and the staff are really funny at times but not over familiar.

We stayed here in late June 08. The weather was intermittent but when the downpours came we were on a higher point so were OK.
The site is well positioned for visiting local attractions, especially the Eden Project. In theory it's walkable but we had a 9 month old and didn't fancy wandering down country lanes with no footpaths and crazy cornish drivers.
The site was well serviced with a good loo block nearby. Showers were fine as far as I can remember. The thing that really wowed me was the fact there was a microwave available for campers to use. Also there was an on-site freezer for use by anyone which I suppose relies on honesty to function properly.
With a little baby the site had an extra bonus of a bathroom, which came in handy at baby's bathtime.
Friendly owner and staff onsite. Good instructions to dog owners with a recommended dog walk for people like us to avoid!
Price was fair if not incredible value.

Stayed here in August 2007 hit a spell of good weather. What all the other reviewers have said about the site is true. If one thing let it down it was the non paying showers were a pain. In the ladies they were always cold so paying 20p for a hot shower was no hardship. The site has easy access to areas to visit we recommed the china clay museum, and go into Charlestown. The Kings Arms near by was recommed but was always full. The fish and chips in Lanivet were the best we have tasted in a long time. We plan to return soon

We spent a week on this site in terrible weather - torrential rain and very strong winds - but found the pitch held up brilliantly, with no waterlogging at all, and good protection afforded by now matured hedging. The site was incredibly quiet, both at night and in the early morning, and the park as a whole felt like a real oasis of peace. The (very friendly and helpful) owners have obviously thought hard about how to make the park both people and wildlife-friendly, and their efforts are obvious in the variety of animal and plant life and features such as the woodland walk. The recycling facilities are also very good, and the site is immaculately clean and well-maintained. We were so excited about the on-site bath that we used it all week, and so can't comment on the showers, though there appeared to be plenty of them. The bath was a godsend for cleaning and calming a mucky toddler before bed. The park is also very well sited for exploring Cornwall, with towns such as Padstow within easy driving distance, with stunning views around every corner. The Eden Project is within easy walking distance if you are fit and able, though it is worth noting that once you are within the park, there is still a lot of walking to do! There is a very welcoming pub just along the road if you fancy a hot meal and a decent, locally brewed pint but don't want to go too far. We will definitely be visiting again.

Lovely site, staff were very friendly and helpful. The toilets clean with soap and towels, the showers where hot, clean and free, there is also a bath. In the top camping field there was a toilet, washing up room and microwave with cling film, they also had a freezer. You also get electricity with your pitch. There is a small shop for the basics. If you have a dog there is a lovely woodland walk. They had a games room with pool, a playground and crazy golf. The site is very close to the Eden Project which is in walking distance about 30 minutes to the visitors centre. The kings Arms pub is in Luxulyan which is also about 30 minutes walk, but all along narrow country lanes. St Austell is a 10 minute drive where there is an Asda and Tesco. Overall this is a lovely site with nice views in a good area to tour Cornwall, Would definitely go back.

Excellent site, brilliantly positioned for the EDEN project, Bodmin Moor and the Coast. The site was clean, well maintained, peaceful and drained brilliantly (after quite a down poor over the weekend). Tent pitches are well protected by trees and bushes but the roots really don't hamper your tent pegs so no mallet needed. Showers were hot and clean and the staff very friendly. You even get a microwave, freezer (for those much needed freezer blocks) and spin drier if you want them. The crazy golf is a bit pants, but only a quid so you can't argue. The site is also a gold standard wildlife conservation site (from the David Bellamy Trust) and provides plenty on nice eco-touches. Highly recommended site and I will visit again. Contrary to earlier remarks about the site being exposed, I actually found it well sheltered where we were.

August 2005 My family and I visited this park in early August. This is the second time we have stayed here and found it as good as before. Not much has changed over 2 years but there is a useful addition of microwaves situated in the washing up areas, the small but adequate shop on-site has some ready meals available too if you are not keen to cook your own. The Showers are clean and hot but unfortunately you have to put 20 pence in the meter to run them and there is no individual temprature control, they last about 5 minutes.
The site is well laid out and is very well kept. It has superb views over the surrounding countryside (on the top pitches only) you can even see the edge of the Eden Project. Most pitches are on a bit of a slope but the most level ones are right at the top. Washing up facilities are good and you are not far from the nearest one or the toilets.
The welcome is particularly friendly and the staff are always polite and very helpful. There is a special dog walking area on the site which takes you through some beautiful woodland which is well worth a walk of about 1/2 an hour. Kids may appreciate the pool table on site too.
Nearby attractions include the Eden Project which is within walking distance (approx 1.5 miles) although you do have to walk along country lanes which is difficult with small childern. There are many beaches within a half hour drive but most require a parking fee. St Austell is a 10 minute drive and has a good selection of shops, Asda and Tesco are very handy.
This is a great site for visiting Cornwall and I would recommend it to anyone who likes a quiet clean site.
