We've just returned from a long weekend at Ty Mawr and it is a lovely little campsite. The campsite has recently been taken over, the toilet and shower blocks were in temporary porta cabins but they functioned perfectly well. The campsite is quite isolated and is not really within walking distance from the attractions in Borth.
Good points: clean toilets and showers, flat pitch, clean campsite, beautiful location, friendly owners, lots of wildlife on and around the campsite and it is good value for money (£5 per person per night).
Bad points: no place to wash up dishes, showers did have a habit of going cold.
I would return, especially knowing that improvements are being made. I would recommend booking in advance as they do not have many tent pitches.

As pre warned on booking the toilet block is old but very functional. Upon arrival we were greeted personally by the owner of the site who was extremely helpful. There is no play area for children but the camp field is more than big enough for a game or two.
Electric hook up is available if pre booked. Nicely mown level ground, wonderful view, sea can be seen from camp field although a short drive away. We were very impressed as novice campers and are in the process of booking again. Happy Camping

A lovely quiet site shower/toilet block in the
Middle surrounded by statics lots of birdlife
Including barn owls and goldcrest and saw a cuckoo most mornings.The owners keep the place lovely flowers everywhere bird feeding stations
Hay meadow at rear and will do everything to make
Your stay an enjoyable one.
