Me and my partner have just spent a few nights on this site, from the minute we arrived we knew it was going to be a enjoyable stay.

The staff here were polite and more than helpful, the site is tidy, clean and well thought out compared to some we have been to. We were placed on a new level hardstanding and didn. T even need to use our levels, which is a rare event sometimes.

The toilet block is probably one of the cleanest we, ve seen, and the showers superb, constant hot water, and powerful. The site sits, about 1. 5mls off the main stretch through Aberaeron, in countryside and is an ideal base for travelling up or down the coast.

The small villages boast some traditional pubs, cafes and gift shops, which add to this stunning area of wales.

We would recommend this site to all, and we will definitely return in the future.

This Caravan Club site is a few miles from the nearest towns and the nearest shop is 2 miles away, but this is what one expects in a rural location. Unusually, there is no dog walk on this site, but the dog owners were using the very quiet, adjacent B-road to exercise/toilet their dogs.

This site is made extra special by the hard working and dedicated wardens. This may be a bit of a cliché, but apart from maintaining a very well kept site with spotless facilities, they spent time helping us to choose a pitch, and when my motor mover failed, the warden rushed to get his tractor to move me onto the pitch – nice people.

The highlight of our holiday was the Ceredigion coastal path: it spans about 60 miles, is really well maintained and signposted and connects many unspoilt beaches and coves. Don’t let the 60 miles put you off however, one of the most beautiful walks was just 40 minutes long, and one part even had wheelchair access.

The views are stunning and you can expect to see seals and dolphins at certain times of the year. We also recommend: sunsets from Aberaeron, the honey farm, boat trips around the coast and Llanerchaeron House and gardens.

We have stayed at this site several times and it has always been one of our favourites, we weren't disappointed this time either, a new toilet block has been built since our last visit, it has been well planned with everything in the right places and kept in a very immaculate condition by the hard working wardens who seem to go the extra mile to keep the whole site in a pristine state,we have never seen the site looking so well in all our previous visits,
it is ideal location for cycling with plenty of low traffic lanes, the nearest shop and post office is at the garage in nearby Llwyncelyn a 10 minutes cycle ride away, a butcher and fishmonger visit the site, the butcher sells excellent home cured bacon,
We left after our stay at 11-15 am, and we had to reverse in a narrow part of the lane to make way for a caravan arriving early at the site, although the club states very clearly that there should be no arrivals before noon some inconsiderate people still chose to ignore this ruling.
All in all an excellent stay at an excellent site, and we shall be back asap.

This site is located about 4 miles from Aberaeron just outside the village of Oakford in a quiet rural setting and is owned by the Caravan Club. It is open from March to October for members and non-members.

Welcome on arrival was good and we found the wardens very helpful and friendly throughout our stay.

There are 50 touring pitches of which 28 are hardstandings. Some pitches are part sloping so you may need levelling blocks.

There is a modern single heated toilet block with showers, WCs and privacy cubicles. Also a disabled facility accessed by a RADAR key (deposit required), washing up/vegetable preparation area and laundry facilities. Facilities were kept very clean.

Service points around the site for water and rubbish disposal. Also chemical disposal facilities. Recycling facilities in a separate area.

Plenty of opportunities to walk your dog in the surrounding area but the wardens advise not to follow one particular route because of a difficult local farmer.

A newspaper vendor calls daily, plus a fresh fish man on Fridays and a butcher twice a week. There are small supermarkets in Aberaeron or large supermarkets in Aberystwyth, Cardigan or Lampeter. Aberaeron has a good variety of local shops and one day we went to a WI market selling home produced food. We had a cup of tea and piece of cake for 50p and learnt some interesting facts about free-range chickens.

We paid £13.80 per night for standard hardstanding pitch with 16amp electrical hook-up, caravan, awning and two adults.

Local attractions include:

• Aberaeron with its famous honey ice cream and opportunities to buy local fresh fish

• New Quay is a picturesque fishing village where you can watch the dolphins from the harbour and learn more at the Sea Watch Foundation centre on the quayside

• Llanerchaeron House and gardens National Trust

A delightful site with a welcome to encourage us to return again.

What a beautiful site, superb facilities and the friendliest wardens we have met yet.

The site looks like it has been newly updated, pitches are large and the road is very new.

The wash rooms are spotless but again appear to be very new either that or magnificently maintained.

The camp wardens were very kind they saved our caravan from damage from the awning when the winds got up when we were away from site.

This site is 10 mins from the sea / beach this was great as because there is no dog walk on site (which is a disadvantage) we could put the dog in the car and give him a good run on the beach daily.

The nearest spa shop is about 5 mins away with bigger supermarkets in cardigan and Aberystwyth. Aberaeron has lovely honey ice cream from the 'hive on the quay'.

Please do not follow satnav's to get to the site they take you down a right silly little lane and the way the caravan club book lays it out is much much easier.

We are definitely going to use this site again and are really pleased to have found it.

A very pleasant site in a very peaceful situation yet within easy drive of the coast. Very little passing traffic as it is on a small country road.At the time of our visit there were hardly any children on the site, so it was very quiet even though well occupied.
There are 2 small toilet blocks (male and female) with 3 toilets, 2 wash basins and 2 showers in the female block, presumably the male one was similar.  Also a small but adequate laundry room and a small disabled toilet / shower room.  Dishwashing/veg prep was in a covered outdoor area.  The toilet blocks appear to be some type of prefabricated units, possibly inherited from another site, and the shower cubicles were a little elderly.  However the toilets and wash basins looked very new, and all the facilities were well cared for and very clean.
There is a mixture of grass pitches and hardstandings, some flat others slightly sloping. All seemed to have EHU.Gas and odds and ends are available at reception, and there is an Information room giving details of what to do/see in the area. Recycling bins available on site.
There are small shops in the nearby villages (car required) , more in Aberaeron.  Nearest large supermarkets are in Aberystwyth and Cardigan.  Plenty of pubs and restaurants too.
The coast is picturesque, with both rocky and sandy bays, but (in my opinion) marred by the presence of so many static caravans.  Many of these holiday sites also limit the access to the beaches, and parking is difficult in busy periods.
The nearby Honey Farm was both interesting and educational and well worth a visit.

Really excellent site, I will certainly go again. Lots of things to do in the general area, including some very good fishing (both trout and carp) at Nine Oaks Fishery within easy walking distance. See the info on The Caravan Club Site for more detail.
