We went for seven days over the May half term. Plenty of good points about the site, the excellent pool, children's play area and club. We were a little disappointed with the showers as they were too hot and on a very short timer.
Pitches are still a decent size but according to the staff we spoke to all camping and caravan pitches are being phased out for Lodges and Statics. Indeed one large field that was open to camping last year has already been replaced with Lodges.

Last visited 2004, have been coming here since 1995 in both a frame tent and renting the caravans. Back in 95 the vans were getting on a bit but were kept very clean. Was a little worried that when john fowlers took over that the cleaning wouldnt be up to the same standard, but over the years they have replaced all the vans and the standard of the vans on site for the prices they charge are very good. We have just had a week in a centrally heated double glazed 6 berth gold standard van which was equipped with a decent size fridge and cooker, a tv with built in dvd player, and what I can only describe as a power shower in the bathroom, Ive never known a shower like it in a caravan! it was brilliant! All for what I think was a very good price of £150 for the week (that was with a £15 discount for being a good customer!).The bed was made up for us on arrival and the van was very clean ( but it did only look like it had been used for one season). The club house was quiet as expected at that time of year but we dont really use it anyway, we spend most of our evenings in Polperro,(the Blue Peter Inn do a very good range of real ales). The shower blocks are not much different, but have been painted in the last couple of years. I think they still do camping there but for how much longer I dont, know as the site now seems to be getting taken over by those wooden lodges which, while beautiful inside are ok in small numbers, but when you get loads they just look like big sheds. The laundry machines have been replaced as have the driers but the laundry building itself could do with a bit of upgrading, which is probably on the agenda for the future. The site is well worth a visit if you can manage the hills to Polperro or Talland but personally I think the cliffs are easier and much prettier. You can get to Looe via Talland and the public footpath that goes through Tencreek and down the hill into Looe it takes about an hour but is pleasant on a nice day On a last note, Cornwall in spring is wonderful I have never seen it at this time of year before. No doubt we will be coming at this time of year again.

Well just to kick off lets get straight to the point. The pitch size was ample big enough for our Hartford L and canopy plus a toilet tent trailer oh and the car. So unless you invested heavily in Billy Smarts Ex Circus Tent on EBay the pitch sizes are excellent 10/10.
Facility's on site both Male Female in need of a lick of paint, but clean very clean the staff keep it at its best there is always hot water and there is plenty of choice of vacant showers sinks and toilets. The Shop is not badly priced nor is the bar and there is also a camp take away portions of chips could be little more generous but hey think of your weight.
All the Staff from Groundsman Reception Shop Bar Stripe Coats and even Foxy always made you feel welcome and would all go out there way to put things right should you have a problem. Great Holiday Great Site Recommend It 10/10

We also stayed over the Easter break, 4 nights. It was our first time there and we did feel a bit out of place being childless - definitely a child friendly park! We weren't used to the allocation process of pitches, they weren't marked out so no real boundaries at all. Reception staff were helpful, and then we were told to go to the loos block and meet maintenance that would show us to our 'pitch', which was one big field. I think its better to have those dividing boundaries on edges of pitch so that you all get the same! The guy just told us to pitch our tent anywhere. The entertainment was ok, quite a small ents team for a big park. Showers ok, but u had to keep pressing that damn button to keep it going, v. Awkward considering it only lasted 3 seconds max.

We stayed 4 nights over Easter. For £11 a night all in we couldnt really complain. That price was for caravan, awning, EHU and my dog. When we arrived, warden/maintenance took us to pitch and helped with jockey wheel etc. Showers and loos were clean and water hot. The shop was well stocked and had lovely extras like hot croissants and crusty rolls.
Indoor pool was fine, although my only gripe was there were a lot of rules, no diving, jumping, ball games etc, basically just swim up and down. Why have a 6" deep end? My 10 yr old was even told not to keep getting in and out of the pool
Rant over, we would stay again, I love Polperro, and Looe, both on your doorstep. The site must have been improved since last reviews. Forgot to mention, they do have a clubhouse, kids clubs bingo etc, and takeway. Good value for money

August 2004 I am a seasonal pitch on this site and feel very let down by the state of the site, staff do come round very early in morning to clean toilet and shower blocks but by 9.30 they look as if no one has been near them, not touched til next morning. Entertainment is very drab though the staff do put on a few good shows, site is now only for statics they have abandoned the touring side of this park, shame really, another site going to the wall.

August 2004 Have been camping in the Cornwall/Devon area for many years and I can say this is the poorest site I have ever stayed at. The site was disorganised, had very little lighting, the on site shop had no camping supplies and the toilets, showers did not seem to be cleaned very often. The club and entertainment was quite good but during the day you will have to use you car to get to a decent beach which is located in Looe. Will not use this site again, needs plenty of money spending on it to bring it up to a decent standard.

August 2002 We had a great time here in 2002, all the staff were friendly, great entertainment for kids, clean facilities, but obviously after 10.30ish started to get a bit grotty, but there were always cleaning staff on hand. We went peak season and pitched in the meadow which was quite secluded and uncrowded, but I wouldn't have liked to pitch in the main camping areas as they were so crammed in. Tried to get in again in 2003, but we were last minute and they were fully booked. But would definitley go back.

June/July 03. Chose site because of location, possible to walk - 10/15 mins downhill to Polperro but somewhat longer coming back - very steep hill from back of site! Lovely little fishing village - quite unique.
Nice site and clean facilities. Club house, snack bar, restaurant ( a little dark and layout in bar and restaurant a little regimented and lacked atmosphere - but in fairness we did not use these facilities and it was very quiet as it was term time). Indoor pool. very helpful staff and only site that provided a full information pack of local facilities events and attractions just like a package holiday!
This was term time so quite quiet, were given a choice of plots and advised by staff of where to avoid because some temp repair work to kerbing was being completed that week and it may have been noisy. All inclusive charge was reasonable and would use again for the area.
