This was our first visit to Atlantic coast camp site and we have to say we had a fantastic time the site was just what we needed. The toilets and shower blocks was exceptionally clean, washing up area was the same, with the use of microwave and freezer. The shop was very well stocked with fresh baked bread mmmm. Very central for touring around Cornwall. We have to say we found a pub called The Bucket of Blood, food to die for. Thanks for everything

Stayed in a static caravan for 2 weeks. It was basic but extremely clean. The site was immaculate with excellent laundry facilities etc. It even had a section with rotary lines for drying clothes. shop was reasonably well stocked and although the takeaway wasn't brilliant it was handy to have it on-site. The staff were friendly and were able to answer any queries we had. Didn't use the club-house as it looked far too small. Cars were parked by caravans which is extremely convenient, but positioning of road humps meant cars couldn't drive fast so safety wasn't an issue. Access to beach however was an issue with the dunes covering such a vast area and there were no paths from the site through the first part of the dunes. If you had any mobility problems at all you wouldn't find it easy.We only did it once and by the time we reached the beach we were exhausted! we also got lost on the way back! the dunes were a kids paradise though. Really nice if you are looking for a quiet family site to use as a base.

We spent two fantastic weeks here this summer and we will be back next year for sure. It was so nice to be able to be away with our own caravan but other family members were all just yards away in hired statics, at very reasonable prices. Also, at last a very dog friendly site with plenty of sand dunes for you and your dog to explore, just watch for the snakes in hot weather. The other campers were really friendly, some staying for three or four weeks and watching the world cup in the very small cosy bar caused quite an atmosphere. It is a small touring site, but with everything you need, very clean toilet and showers, a laundry, a small shop and takeaway. A very friendly site you must visit.

On the whole this is one of the better sites I have been to in Cornwall. Because there are not too many pitches for tents and caravans then it tends to be a quiet site.
- It has a very cosy bar (a little small if it's too cold to sit outside).
- If the children are happy, then I'm happy. Most of the time the children go to the pool room. Only problem is, the room is too small and you can't take a side shot without the end of the cue hitting the wall. Although I've been to plenty of sites where that tends to be the same. It makes playing a game frustrating and my kids groaned about that. Apart from the pool room, the children play on the sand dunes right next to the site. Apart from that, there is nothing much else to entertain them. A swing and slide would have been nice for the small ones.
- I was woken most mornings by the squeaking plant from the nearby block making factory.
- Although you can walk to the beach, it's quite a hike over the dunes, and if you are carrying beach equipment you will struggle. The aerial view on their web site is deceptive. The alternative is to drive to the beach at Gwithian and pay your £2.50 all day car park fee. The extensive dunes and cliffs mean there are few point for gaining access down onto the beach.
- Bodyboarders/surfers beware of hidden rocks at high tide. Surf between the flags !
- There's an Lidl supermarket 3 mins drive from the site, MacDonalds 4 mins.
- Finally (and nothing to do with Atlantic View), If you go to St Michaels Mount and you have children, then consider joining the National Trust. Our family of 6 joined for £68, valid for a year, and it gets you into loads of their sites for free including tin mines. This has to be worth it!! Our kids loved the quiz's they lay on at many of their sites.

Spent five great days at this site last week, fantastic weather. Set in the sand dunes behind St Ives Bay very quite and relaxed, 32 large pitches, plenty of space for tent and car. With a small bar open from 7pm. Super friendly manager (Jayne) and staff on the site were all really helpful, well stocked shop and small takeaway. Covered potwash area was a real bonus with plenty of sinks and lots of hot water. Shower/toilet block and laundry could do with a make over but outside drying area with 3 large airers was fab. Can't wait to go back.
